Dunleavy Scores 36 As Indiana Outpaces New York
Knicks 123, Pacers 132

Mike Dunleavy tied a career high with 36 points, and the Indiana Pacers beat New York 132-123 on Wednesday night. The Knicks allowed their highest point total of the season and tied a franchise record with 59 losses. It was new Knicks president Donnie Walsh's first game in Indiana since stepping down as Pacers CEO last month. Walsh didn't like what he saw, at times shaking his head in disgust while watching from the crowd. Jamal Crawford, who led New York with 25 points, said the season has been disappointing.

Quote

“If I didn’t play the way how I played, I wouldn’t have gotten no max contract,” he said. “They can talk about whatever they wanna talk about me, because I got maxed. I’m a max player. Don’t get mad at me, because I’m telling you what’s real. One plus one is two, all day long, and it’s never gonna change. And that’s factorial.”

Chandler Could Fill Knicks' Hole At The Three

While a lot of attention has been focused on the Knicks' soap operas at the point guard, head coach, and chairman positions, the team's worst on-court problem is at small forward. The team is getting killed there, and coach and team president (and official lightning rod for criticism) Isiah Thomas is ignoring a potential in-house solution.
Knicks Should Rethink Their Defensive Scheme
11/13/2007 12:03:00 PM: Martin Johnson
The Knicks' 75–72 loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday night is one of those really bad losses that tend to be either written off as a fluke or overanalyzed. The appropriate reaction is somewhere in the middle. It's easy to see the loss as a fluke. Forward Zack Randolph missed the game due to the death of his grandmother, and he has been the heart of the Knicks' offense this season, averaging 20.3 points and 13.5 rebounds a game. Also, guard Nate Robinson has been in uniform, but his play has become a nonfactor since a hamstring injury knocked him out of last Sunday's home opener against Minnesota. And lastly, down the stretch in the fourth quarter when the Knicks needed a perimeter player other than starting guards Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford to take a shot, starting small forward Quentin Richardson was unavailable having hyper-extended his right elbow diving for a loose ball. As a result, the Knicks went scoreless during the final 2:30 of the loss.
Combative Dolan Shameless

The Garden Needs A Warning Label

As the legend goes, it was years ago, aboard a sleek family yacht, when Charles F. Dolan asked his executive crewmates an earnest question: What about Jim? His son needed an occupation. Something to divert his rock-star ambitions. Something to focus him. So he decided to give James L. Dolan what amounted to a skate key to Madison Square Garden, a business irrelevant to the Cable Daddy’s vast bottom line, a playground where his son could do no harm.
Don't Put Willie In Isiah's League

Willie Randolph was in trouble of losing his job, and Isiah Thomas was not. One is a real human being who will never embarrass the Mets.
