The NBA season gets underway Tuesday night with the Lakers visiting the defending champion Nuggets and the Suns taking on the Warriors in San Francisco.
The Knicks open their season of higher expectations at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night against the Celtics.
The Knicks are strong on the offensive glass and almost never turn the ball over thanks to Jalen Brunson, which regularly gives them more scoring opportunities than the opposition.

New York still does not have a particularly efficient offense and we saw how a subpar Effective Field Goal percentage proved costly in the postseason, but the formula works over an 82-game regular season.
The rest of the formula is intact as the Knicks have one of the NBA’s best benches, a stout defense and give a strong effort every night for head coach Tom Thibodeau.
They have been in the top 10 in net rating in two of the past three seasons.

The Knicks’ win total is 45.5 and their regular season should put them solidly over this number, but the final few wins might not matter if they are safely above the play-in line, so there’s a better way to bet this.
