Lee is 7th in the league in FG% and 3rd in rebounding. He is not average, he is one of the most effecient players in the league. No post moves? Just because he's not a back to the basket scorer doesnt mean he doesnt have post moves. You dont score 55% and 16 a game with no post moves.

Nobody is saying Lee is a star, but he is most certainly a 2nd tier player. If 16/11/55% isnt 2nd tier what is?

People here dont want to pay him top tier money. They want a shot at a star.

You need guys that fill out the stat sheet and when you do that at 55% your doing a pretty good job.

Lee has ALWAYS been a super effecient player. How have these stats been inflated?

and yeah, lee does have some post game, it's not amazing, and doesn't really use turn around jumpers or anything, but he was using some moves in the low blocks last year to generate his shot.

Cosmic, we still don't have Nate so you can't include him as a PG. And there is a reason why they are looking for a PG when Duhon is on his last year and Douglas is a rookie that shouldn't be used a lot in the beginning. And even if Nate re-signed, the team already knows they can't trust him as the distributor of the offense.

You're kind of missing the point of these two threads, aren't ya.

I'll let you figure out the gist of them.

Meanwhile, at any time we choose, we can retain Nate, so, yes I include him in the plans before I include some random FA we're rumored to be talking to. Nate's rights belong to us. Nate is still a New York Knick.

And I'll take Nate on his QO or a 1 year deal over anyone discussed in these free agent PG discussions thus far.

You can take Nate all you want, but until he signs a contract, he isn't officially a Knick, especially if the team doesn't seem fond to the idea of keeping him. You can also be happy to take him instead of any other FA PG, but since you don't coach the team and the one who does sees the importance of having a real pass first PG around, well, we may have a new one soon.

(CNN) -- The woman who made the 911 call that led to the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. never referred to race when she contacted authorities for what she thought was a potential break-in, her attorney told CNN on Monday.
Attorney Wendy Murphy also categorically rejected part of the police report that said her client, Lucia Whalen, talked with Sgt. James Crowley, the arresting officer, at the scene.

"Let me be clear: She never had a conversation with Sgt. Crowley at the scene," Murphy said. "And she never said to any police officer or to anybody 'two black men.' She never used the word 'black.' Period."

She added, "I'm not sure what the police explanation will be. Frankly, I don't care. Her only goal is to make it clear she never described them as black. She never saw their race. ... All she reported was behavior, not skin color."

Calls to the Cambridge Police Department about the issue have not been returned. In the police report, filed by Crowley, he says he spoke with Whalen outside the home before he approached Gates' house.

"She went on to tell me that she observed what appeared to be two black males with backpacks on the porch of Ware Street," the report says. "She told me that her suspicions were aroused when she observed one of the men wedging his shoulder into the door as if he was trying to force entry."

Murphy's comments add yet another layer of intrigue to the July 16 arrest that has prompted heated discussion across the nation on race relations in America.

Murphy also disputed accounts of her client as a white woman in the traditional sense. "The fact is she's olive-skinned and of Portuguese descent. You wouldn't look at her and say necessarily, 'Oh, there's a white woman.' You might think she was Hispanic," Murphy said
