so now that Odom is off the market...who should the knicks get for front court depth?

im not worried about the back up PG and SG positions...im more worried about depth cuz tyson and stat are injury prone...JJ is valuable but also injury prone...jorts is a scrub

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I like the idea of Jason Thompson. Maybe Kenyon Martin. Not too many inspiring names for front court depth.

I think it is a big key to bring back Jared Jeffries. I love that guy and he filled in admirably for Amar'e at several points of the season. He plays well next to Melo and Tyson, too.

I don't think Jorts is a scrub at all, he is just too slow and not athletic, agile, and quick enough, a reason why he cannot play the PF.
As of last season, he was a 3rd tier center, that is not a shot blocking presence.
He is strong and holds his ground, but just not enough to defend starting players, but can contribute on 2nd/3rd units.
He could have improved much and he did so last year, even with the injury that took him out of the ability to do shoot the ball with his injured wrist.

I like AK47 and Beasley if TWolves let him go, which they probably will with a 8m qualifying offer.

A cheap rotation forward that is veteran minimum material, is Anthony Tolliver.
With limited minutes, he shows the ability to grab 10RBs, double double with points and rbs, with 1 steal 1 block, and can hit 3pointers.

All are solid players, JT is a RFA though, Kings offered a QO on him.

How did K. Martin get along with Anthony when they were one the Nuggets? Just wondering.

If jorts gets any significant playing time were in trouble

Why would the kings keep thompson if they jus drafted trob and they hv cousins

I love Jason Thompson. I think he would be a great pick up. I think the Knicks are definitely bringing Jeffries back and I think I read somewhere that they were bringing Gadzuric back also.

I like Jorts a lot and disagree. He is just solid when he is on the court.

Very cruel. He always speaks highly of you, too.

Lin's rise should give folks pause before they dismiss any player. Harrelson had some moments last year when you actually thought he could be a 15-20 MPG rotational guy... especially before he was injured.

I think he is enough of an athlete to compete at the 4 spot. He plays good positional D. Moves his feet, gets some steals, and he can challenge opponents who take it to the hole.

Got to see what he did in the offseason- shape-wise and technique improvement. Remember, too, his injury really hampered his play, especially on offense.

Ok...i wont make this about jorts...i just dont think he can help...where can we find REAL frontcourt help?

It's not about being big. Odom was perfect because of his passing ability would've really fit in with Melo, Lin & STAT

Kenyon can be had for cheap especially if Kidd comes but I wonder if we can find someone who brings what Odom brings to the table offensively and defensively off the bench

I want no part of Kenyon. Unfortunately, I don't think there is another player out there than can provide what Odom does....it's what makes him Odom.

Jorts is going to be importnant to the team next year.

Unfortunately be can't get front court depth AND back court help with just one $3mil MMLE- it's one or the other.
