Haha - that's pretty much what everyone uses the internet for.

I took this class called International Communication in uni. We had a section on internet technologies. The prevailing academic theory suggest porn is the reason for the great strides in the industry.

First nudie pics could be downloaded. Then they could be downloaded fast. Then videos could be downloaded. Then they could be downloaded fast. Then videos could be streamed. Then they could be streamed in igh def.

As for the websites, I am on news.google.com all the time. Scanning and reading the headlines dominates most of my surfinig time. (Yes, I still surf the web.)

Twitter is pretty cutting edge. At the draft party I attended twitter was giving the name of the draft picks before STern and Silver.

This is the the link on twitter I go to. It has all of the beat writers for the knicks and nets and most of the relevant national guys.

Martin and Andrew's Slick Sports is probably the fastest link to published stories that I am aware of. I am not allowed to do much at work with sport sites so I generally check that twitter account and slick sports. I expand the sites I follow a lot prior to the draft and the trade deadline.
