hed wouldve finished his so year at NC. my take is probably top 3. he has a very high talent level and things you can teach at 6-7 with that type of athletic ability. hes already produced a few 30 point games at 20 years old. im just wondering if we can snatch him on the cheap--maybe pick 29? if the spurs were interested--the Knicks should be as well for their SF position.

also, i think it likes marbury--id like to see if we could move him OR Francis to Minnesota for their pick[would likely have to take back jaric to counter the $$$$] but that might be very acceptable for minnesota-that would give us 3 picks in what looks like a nice draft to me

but if we do keep marbury and francis[which might be insane] then i would guess we would go big

i can think of a few combination of players that would do wonders for this team[namely Marcus Williams] if we had a 3 player draft similar to last year---or 2 and swiping a jr smith--I think we can quickly create that great atmosphere the bulls have now--were not ready to win 90 games--but i think with a good offseason and a new philosophy of staying away from the starphuck--we can create an environment with chemistry that is condusive to winning for the long term

knowing that he would've finished in the top 3 if he went in the draft this year, what makes you think the Knicks would have any shot at all of stealing him away w/a #29 pick? come on man... let's be real here... you'd have to include Nate along w/both picks to even peak their interest.

I would love a trade for Smith.

And apparently the MSG big brass already made a decision on that Minn deal.

TMS, you probably didn't follow the Smith incident but this Knicks deal is much better than anything that was being offer for him.

well, q woods was branded much worse[rightfully so] in terms of immaturity and he seemed to do all right with the knicks.
i dont know what style of play we are going to use

if they want to run more like the suns a guy like smith has a LOT of the skills we need-they still need to be honed but his potential in an open floor game is HUGE.

i dont want to view the knicks situation as something that cant be professional--obviously brown is gone--and with him gone--they can create some consistency

if it was me, id try to go after the 7 footer in the draft and if i cant do that if i want a running game guys like lowry and boone are guys who can fly up and down the floor for their respective sizes and help us on the D.
