![]() gunsnewing wrote:I miss realistic Fishmikeand I 100% stand by that thread. Thats coming from the king of Melo loving apologists right? Nothing for me has changed, except maybe you add health concerns to Melo... but I still view him as a great player in the league as do his peers and other teams. What we need now is some good players in here and Melo to be Melo. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

![]() gunsnewing wrote:I miss realistic FishmikeNice edit ![]() Current fishmike goes after idiots who say things like Melo sucks. Melo is home counting his millions. Melo doesnt care about winning. Melo is fat and out of shape. If you want to talk about what he can and cant do, or how best to build a team with him on it, I have always been a willing and open participant in those debates. The thread you mention proves that I think. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

Yea I'd wholeheartedly agree if we weren't playing him $24mil almost 40% of the entire cap but we have no choice to live with it and hope for the best now |

He's also not the awful human some would wish. He's a good family man (Ive seen this first hand). He does good charity work. He just holds the phuckin ball too longfishmike wrote:gunsnewing wrote:I miss realistic FishmikeNice edit ![]() I really hated the deal that got him here, no ifs ands or buts. However thats another thing I dont blame him for. He's allowed to look out for himself and look to play somewhere he wants to. Thats America. I dont blame him for the crappy trade we made, anymore than I blame him for the Bargs trade. Knicks were tossing picks around like monopoloy money for studs like Eddy Curry LOOOOONG before Melo got here. The climax of my Melo hate was when he quit on Dantoni, and the apex of my Melo appreciation was what he did immediatly after. Melo is good enough to carry a team for a whole month on his back, but not good enough to build a team around. Much of Melo is a literal paradox My *hope* is simply Phil sees him for what he is. A great scorer first and foremost. He may never be a guy who makes players better, but he's 100% shown that his GOOD PLAY can make guys better. My expectation for Phil is that he uses Melo in ways his impact can be maximized. Time will tell... (btw, as your reading this Melo is making love to his money, eating pizza and hating on Jeremy Lin)

I could care less if melo is a good guy or a tranny to me, phils biggest failure so far was Melo not passing the ball more. I really thought that this was priority one and it looked to me as if Melo flipped him the big birdie. HUGE EGG ON PHIL'S FACE (so far). Melo is super talented. The question is, is he willing to get better and let Phil teach him (via webex of course). so here is what phil is thinking ....
