1 thing that should temper the euphoria of the victory in GS - they did play the night before and they have laid some stinkers. They’re not the 72 win Warriors.

Yup. They also scored 114 points against our D and allowing 114 points just isn't going to work.

Allowing 116 is even worse.

He was exactly right too— if things broke right we were 3-1 instead of 1-3. I’m glad thibs was finally forced to try out cam reddish and I think a fair assessment is we need to keep him in the line up. We used expensive capital on him and he Shouod fairly be part of the team if he contributes like that

Wasn’t it only 2 days ago you started a thread saying the Rose trade was a curse? I find it hard to keep up with. You said everyone was bust, now you’re saying we have a deep team.

Derrick Rose was like the 2014 run. Other than 2014 we were better. An older vet propped up the entire team past what the reality was. Thibs got coach of year. But reality is Derrick Rose gave us an unsustainable short term pop. I believed it too as I drank the cool aid so not throwing anyone under the bridge. But everything we did off-season was based on we that run. That Derrick Rose and kemba Walker could each play 60-65 games healthy. ThT Fournier wouod give us a needed fourth jettison
But the reality is every single move was a bust. The house was built needing Derrick Rose 2020 and it’s not getting that. All the vets like 2014 is busting
Noel -bust
Burks- bust
Fournier - bust
Rose— bust
Walker— bust
Randle —for the most part bust
Draft picks — at this point just unknown fair decent some possibilities

You do know Briggs has the right to change his stance every hour of so? Which he takes full advantage of.

Have said all year that this team goes as Randle does. Along with our three point shooting. Fans do not understand that team success depends on their best player. Coaches do. Reason why Thibs rode Randle hoping he would turn it around. He knows quite well that Obi and the other fan hopefuls wont cut it.

In terms of making the playoffs, gotta say that we are not passing the Nets who still have yet to have their best players on the court. Nor are we passing the Celtics who are hot and just got better at the trade deadline. Raptors have lost 1 game in last 10. So there is that. The Knicks may go on a run but just do not see any of the 5 to 10 place teams going into a free fall. This is no longer the East of yesteryear.

BRIGGS - click bait threads for the happily bipolar.

Not sure how hard it's going to be to pass the Nets who are actually freefalling, unless 10 game losing streaks have some other definition, and I'm going to imagine that King of Rust Ben Simmons is going to possibly tear a hamstring or something else trying to do too much too soon. Most likely in practice, and not even make it to playing actual games. Wishful hate thinking on my part, but it is what it be. Watching a Nets Superfriends thing blow up like this again is a very real possibility.

Meanwhile Philly gets a nice warmed up Harden who will shoot the ball at any and every opportunity. Advantage Philly. I'm really starting to hate the Process monster that Embiid has become.

Washington was top 5 at some point early in the season, and Charlotte doesn't scare me, and once again, we own Atlanta in the regular season. 5 games left total against those last two.

And once we make the playoffs, don't forget we have the Original Celtic Kryptonite in SuperEvan.

Jrod calling for a pulled hammy. Love it.
Do like the confidence. I must be reading too many Knicks1248 posts. My apologies. Btw, speaking about homering, EF has been shooting well against several teams lately. But to your point, think it's new contacts. They make him see green uniforms.

I don’t care if he averages 35 points and 15 rebounds the rest of the way. I lost all faith in Randle. He’s shown how he is when things don’t go well. He was bad in the playoffs. He dogged it for a strong portion of this season while giving the paying customers the middle finger. I know he hasn’t bothered plenty of people on here but it bothered me. If the Knicks are going to build a winning culture that’s long lasting, it will be without him.

Going all in to the playoffs by riding with the vets and giving young guys very little time, only to just miss the play-in or be knocked out in one game is an offense that should lead to firings.

Thread's based on Randle continuing this after the AS break when SuperRose comes back, all fresh and springy. Give it awhile, this thread will grow on you.

Anyway, I sure hope Randle playing well isn't about RJ being hurt. But I digress...

And I love the logic in here about how getting into the playoffs via play-in is an embarrassment, but tanking is a great thing to be cherished and nourished along.

It's becoming infuriating, because Julius always SOUNDS like he gets it. He's his own worst enemy. He's proven he can be effective in a faster offense and with moving the ball around. But when it matters most, he completely changes the flow of the game for both himself and the team. He's so close to righting the ship, but just can't help himself.

I couldn't quite work out if he was being totally honest or whether he was covering for Thibs

every team slows things down in the last few minutes of the game, by and large.

Randle right now is not our problem, unless you are faulting him for not putting up 50 a night.

Lack of PG is still our biggest issue.

I want to jump back on the Randle bandwagon so bad. But man those turnovers are pesky!

Still… rooting for big games from him every night.

The guy wants to end our decades-long suffering, and I want him to succeed!

Guess Briggs is wrong. Randle is still ballin and we still losin.

Need more than Randle to beat these super my bad, bum azz teams.

The harder he has to play, the more turnover prone he gets.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
