some of us are just upset that this team is run like a wet fart instead of an NBA franchise. i'm tired of being apologized to after drafts. was gallinari the 6th best player in last year's draft? of course not. nor will he ever be. will jordan hill be in the top 8? we'll see, i doubt it. jeff teague, eric maynor, jrue holiday all went mid first round and we still need a point guard.

The biggest mistake Donnie has made in his tenure so far was turning down that Nate Robinson/Jefferies trade at the deadline.

Nate is going to walk for nothing. We aren't getting a single asset for him. He will get a MLE from some team - no team will trade for him - they know there is no way we will match, our bargaining position is nil. Even though we should match and move them at the trading deadline, we won't.

If we had traded him at last deadline we could have maybe gotten pick 23 included (which could have been BJ Mullens). Also, our record would be worse and we'd get the 7th pick easily, or maybe the 5th? and then we get Curry or Rubio.

Instead? We still have no Nate, we still have Jefferies, we don't have Curry or Rubio and we have very little hope.

Don't agree. If a team wants Nate why wouldn't they just do a sign and trade. He is a commodity of sorts, we can always match an offer for him. How much do you think he will command? No where near Lee. So we match and either do a S&T or trade him later on. If for some reason that doesn't look possible at least we can get something nice, very nice for Lee. Isn't matching having a bargaining position? After all if they think we won't match then they will go as low as they can and then we will of course match. It isn't so cut and dry imo. It seems most of the time that teams work out a sign and trade.

i'm not sure what being upset has to do with posting unnecessary clutter when there are existing threads already discussing the same exact topic?

as to your comment, Donnie Walsh obviously felt that Jordan Hill is a better player than Jeff Teague, Eric Maynor or Jrue Holiday... just cuz we need a PG doesn't mean we absolutely should have picked one at 8 when there were other players who were higher up on our draft board available... u always take BPA regardless of your need... drafting for need & passing up talent is an irresponsible way to approach the draft.

obviously that's the case... how about seeing how Jordan performs before bashing the pick?

For Serious,

I cant stand that 5 seconds after pick X has put his new Knicks hat on, he's automatically a failure. Give the kid a GD chance.

Why be so whiney when a player who was expected to go 3 spots up and has potential to meet your defensive needs drops onto your lap?

Save the doom and gloom for the first game of the season when everyone knows what team the Knicks are even putting out on the court.

There is no way that this is the final team for the first game of the season and we all know it........relax

Sessions looked great in spurts for sure. Is he really the guy? Is he clearly an upgrade over Duhon aside being a few years younger? Duhon was giving us 12/8 a night while we were winning games before he ran out of gas. what kind of upgrade are we talking about?

Also.. why is everyone so ready to dump Nate who has had some pretty impressive outings for a guy who had half a good season for a losing team?

Briggs.. you would let Nate walk for Sessions?

Also.. I am perfectly OK with guys like Nate and Lee playing their QO out this year. We have no pick.. there is no upside to us losing games. Even if these guys walk so we can make offers to max FAs so be it. Also, not everyone has cap space next year, and sometimes even teams that do will still take a S&T even if the player is leaving anyway (Magic had cap space but still sent Ben Wallace and others to Det in a sign and trade)

Sessions is a pass first PG. Hes 23 6-3 strong build good athlete. He's a great MLE for many reasons. I think we spent 3mm on Douglas to fill in for Nate's duties.

I don't think anyone tries to clutter the board. I don't think you and nyk4ever should continue to boss people around about that--youve been doing it for 5 years. Accept that people are trying to do the best they can to go back and forth with ideas and they don't need to hear it from the Internet police. Kabeesh--case closed.

we have nobody that defends the perimeter. Douglas reminds me of John Starks a lot. Maybe more like Marcus Banks on D and Stark on O. He can really bring when he's hot and he plays defense with attitude and really gets after guys. There's a lot of video out there on him. I was really impressed.

Every time we play one of these combo guards they drop 40 on us. I know Wade, Gordon, Mo Williams, Sessions are good players but we never guard. Finally we got a guy that WANTS to guard. I think he will be a great pickup for us and the guy can really score it.

the full MLE. It's an opportunity to get a young solid PG to a good price.

i'm not trying to boss anyone, but it's pretty damn annoying when u see 3 or 4 different threads talking about the same exact thing posted on the front page when i come to this site... you are absolutely the worst offender of this... it doesn't take much effort to simply post a thought on the thread talking about that topic, does it? why start up a new thread when there's already a thread talking about the same exact topic that even you already posted on? you had to start up a new one cuz this thread was different than the other one in what way exactly? this is not my forums, i'm just a member here like u... i'm just saying it's annoying... i'm not forcing u to do anything... i see other members getting their threads locked all the time for the same offense... when u have 3 or 4 different members pointing out the same thing to you it might be wise to heed their advice... but i guess you're operating under a different set of rules than everyone else... gotcha big bossman.

Fantastic, I was hoping my name would pop up here.

Briggs, you are a great poster. You bring a ton of knowledge. Because of this I think you tend to take shortcuts and think you can do whatever you want because of it and that your word is holier than thou. Anytime you have a comment, you create a new thread. 90% of the time there is a thread that is multiple pages long with discussion going on already about the new topic you just posted. Does it really take that long to just look and see if anyone has already posted what you are talking about?

Martin/Andrew, if I'm in the wrong here and should keep quiet, please let me know and I gladly will. I'm just throwing my 2cents in.

Isnt it a tad hypocritical to tell someone what to do or how many times they should post? Everyone makes mistakes including me. You have posted a 1k more than me despite being here 4 years after I signed up. Have I ever once said to you or TMS--dont post that--you are clutering the board with your thousands of posts? No because it's a free space and if you posted 50k I wouldnt care. I would never break anyone's cahones unless they break mine first. If you said nothing--there would be no response. It's not TMS's or your place to say anything--nor is it mine. Lets not get back into this petty stuff. If there is something you dont like--do what i do ignore it.

BRIGGS, this has been pointed out to you numerous times, & by several different members other than myself & nyk4ever for that matter... but whatever, if u wanna continue to do what u wanna do, go ahead, i'm not a mod of these forums & not forcing u to do anything... just making suggestions on how to reduce the clutter & make for easier discussion on topics... am i allowed to make suggestions or no BRIGGS? do i have your permission?

don't worry when the ignore feature is implemented i promise we will never have another run in again... until then i'm with nyk4ever so if martin & Andrew have no problems with you posting separate threads everytime a thought crosses your mind, so be it.

Man. I agree with tms but I don't want to ruffle any feathers. Its hard enough to keep the threads on one topic as it is, let alone having multiple on the same is all I'm saying
