Frye will be there, but I hope they don't pass on Granger either. The Bynum and green BS is smoke screen stuff. If we pass on Granger for Frye, it's pure stuipidty, Granger is a top 3 player in the draft.

agree wholeheartedly! I think Bogut, Green & Granger will be the best 3 rookies next year and possibly Graham & Taft.

but there's no way Bogut, Green or Granger fall to us. None. No way whatsoever. Nada. If we wanted one of those three, we shouldn't have played Marbury 45minutes in April, people shouldn't have been rooting for the playoffs in March. Only smart teams who tanked when the playoffs were out of reach have a shot at those three...

The Post has this to say, which I find interesting:

The Knicks, according to multiple sources, will take Frye at No. 8 in Tuesday's NBA Draft if he's there. If not, Thomas, a source said, will throw the mock drafts on its ear and snatch the 7-foot, 17-year-old high school senior center Andrew Bynum, as reported here yesterday. That is unless Houston high school swingman Gerald Green, who will work out for the Knicks today, falls to eight, which is very unlikely.

so, right now, the draft board is:

1) Frye
2) Bynum

I don't know... Reading some GMs commenting on Green makes me think that he could fall a bit, to around 10. He's got freakish athleticism & potential, but nothing else it seems. And it sounds as though guys like Webster, Granger & Wright would be safer picks. Well, who knows...

Would I want Greem or Bynum? BYNUM please.

I think Green has a much better chance at success in the NBA. I really don't see him falling past 6, though. Someone will trade up for him. The Lakers are desperately trying to move up to 3 to get him. If the Jazz can't get a trade with New Orleans to pick Deron, they actually might trade down to 10 to take Felton there. Then the Lake Show could grab Green at 6. Many possibilities for trades exist, and I think one of them will lead to Green going top 6. And if Green DOESNT go top 6, is Toronto REALLY going to pass on him? I doubt it. We'll see. I'd be shocked if Granger or Green fell to 8. Absolutely shocked.

Well according to the Daily News article, our draft board is really something like...

1) Frye
2) Monta Ellis

So in other words, who the hell knows.

but that's Frank Isola. He's never right. Zeke might take Ellis at 30, but I think he'll go for size there too, probably Blatche or Morris or Turiaf...

http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index.ssf?/base/sports-19/1119768988261270.xml

"With two days remaining before Tuesday's NBA draft, the Hornets are involved in trade discussions with the Toronto Raptors to get two first-round picks, according to league sources Saturday night.

The possible deal would involve the Hornets trading center Jamaal Magloire to Toronto for the Raptors' picks at Nos. 7 and 16. No other players have been mentioned in the trade discussions, sources said. "

If this deal took place, could the Hornets take Frye at 7th?

No, I think they'd be more interested in Bynum, b/c that's who they worked out, but who knows. That would be wonderful, wouldn't it.

I'm praying that Frye gets drafted before the 8th pick and Isiah goes with Bynum...

If Isiah selects Frye and brings in Walker, I'd take a sabatical and root for the Spurs instead.

Is that such a bad deal? Magliore looks like he's on the cusp of becoming an All-star center in the NBA and he's still quite young.

I think he's definately going to go for size at #30.....or a swing man if he gets a big with #8.

I think there will be a fair share of good point guards still around with the Knicks second rounder.

no, it makes sense. the raptors need a big man and what better big man than canada's own magloire? they could market him as much as possilble. not like vinsanity popularity but they will take what they can get: a canadian all- star center.

I'd at least demand a low pick with Magloire. The Raptors could draft very good players with those picks...
