I wonder if this is meant to give any insight into their draft strategy...

http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/BigMen_050622.html

They have the big men ranked:
1) Bogut
2) Frye
3) Bynum

They have the swing men ranked:
1) Marvin
2) Green
3) Granger
4) Martell

in the blurbs, the two guys the Knicks are said to have the most interest in are Frye and Granger. Fine by me.

Well, Graham will most likely be there when we make our pick...

Frye (pick 6-15)is second and Bynum (anywhere)is third on the best big men. Green is second (pick 2-6) and Granger is third (pick 5-10). Of course, this may have nothing to do with Isiah's thinking. Still, some things are clear:

  • If the Knicks have a chance at Green, they will strike (who wouldn't?)

  • Granger is regarded as a better prospect than Frye. If he falls, we should strike

  • Bynum is a mystery for everyone, but if Green, Granger and Frye are taken, maybe they would pick Bynum before Graham, since he is so down on their list

yeah, I'm not sure we should read this as anything resembling their draft board, or if it's just another puff piece by Tom Kertes, master of the knicks.com puff piece...

I have seen Joey Graham play and I have seen Lawrence Roberts play. I think Roberts has more offensive game than Graham. Furthermore, Roberts is just as good of a rebounder. Time will tell who is right.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
