Do you support Isiah's trade of Kurt for Q-Rich and a conditional, lottery-protected future 1st rd pick?

He had to trade Kurt. If he waited until his game was clearly going downhill, he wouldn't have gotten anything for him. I'm not a big fan of Q, but he is pretty good fit and he has future trade value. Also, it seems that we're getting a pick.

i'm on board with this trade. for me, an A+ would have been getting josh howard and a pick for KT, he's more of a complete player, but Q at least gets a B+/A- especially if we bring in the pick.

even though in general you don't trade big for small, you also want to trade old for young, getting the pick in the deal only helps that aspect of the deal. if we thought allan houston would mesh with marbury and crawford, Q will only fill that role better, and he's like what a decade younger?

I actually think Q is a lot better than Josh Howard and Dallas doesn't have a draft pick this year and even if they did the player we would get with the 27th something pick wouldn't be as good as Q.

Oh BTW, a future conditional 1st round pick? Don't we owe them one too already that we may very well not be able to trade?

It's a real good trade. Not a jump up and down and thank the lord trade, but there is a lot to like from this trade. We are getting a much younger player with good scoring potential at a position of need. In return we are giving up a good player, but an older player at a position where we have a glut. And we also get some sort of pick in 2007...that's a little icing for us.

Yes, but without knowing what else Isiah is going to do, making an assessment is problematic. The Knicks do have a ton of money tied up in guards.

Good trade for me, Q is young, can play and he gives us a post game at the SF spot..
