picking at 8, the BPA is likely to be a wing. Frye, even if you like him, seems like a tall, lightweight 4 and at 30, you might get a HS or Euro project

exactly! we can get someone better at 30 and still walk away with possibly the best player in the draft in Greeb, Granger or Graham!

i was hoping that you elaborate on your "maybe Dampier is coming" theory. After reading your post, I'm under the impression that this could have very well been a "maybe Shaq is coming" thread because it provies as much detail on how Dampier might be coming than it does Shaq maybe coming.

tighten up, Franco.

Best player available????? what the hell does that mean?

Bogut is the best player in the draft and we will not be able to draft him.....after that, is Williams, and to tell you all the truth, I don't like his game....He resembles TT a little too much. The actual best player in my opinion is Sean May...I like what he did in the finals, and he proved that he can be a go to guy in the clutch...

The highschoolers that some of you are crazy about weren't even known until the freaking Mcdonald tournament....How in the world can you claim that either of them is BA if they have yet to perform in a big stage?

Lebron has been delivering since his high school days, and we should not compare him to any of the kids that will be available in this draft. He is a 6'8" 240 built like a TE, and most of all, this young kid has been playing with super-stars since his early days. This dude is used to the lime light and the cameras don't even phase him. He was very ready, and his performance shows.

Stop dreaming, the next Lebron will not be out until another 10 years from now....

If they were as good as you guys have mentioned, after the publicities that Lebron enjoyed, the media would have been all over those kids...

BA available? You all make me sick....We need a freaking Center, we have to find us a couple of them...

If there is going to be a follow up move to the Q deal, we need a C- Boozer doesn't make any sense because he's a 4- better than Damp, yes.

Damp is a nice, strong D minded C that can fill the hole.

If you were to take a Bynum or other project C, Damp can hold the fort while they develop.

Sorry for the brevity, but there has been so much activity to keep up on.

And- here is some more possible logic for us adding Damps deal to our books and thats if Allan is waived, Dolan's check book can probably afford him

For Cuban & Dallas- Finley is too good for them to waive so some combo of TT for Damp with filler might be very helpful for them. I think they saw that Damp is no longer needed now that Shaq is gone.

I am a little skeptical about Dampier....I would only trade for him if Dallas send a pick with him. I want none other than Okur. He can block shots, and most of all, he has a very good offensive game.

The two players I don't want under any circumstances are Dampier or Z.

I think Damp is going to be better on D than Okur- his numbers certainly back that up.

Damp I think is a reasonable acquisition- he's got a long, slightly unreasonable contract and he could probably be had for an expiring deal. Not sure about Okur

thanks franco,

But I think it would be an atrocity for the Knicks to turn around and acquire Dampier after trading Nazr.

I could be wrong but Dampier isn't that much better than Nazr, imo.

Role players, disinterested, nothing special, etc.
