At first I wasnt in favor of this trade, but with Kurt on his way out Zeke really needs to find away to get Boozer and the 6th pick. Zeke obviosly prefers being over the cap, according to djsunyc quote, so I'm thinking...

Carlos Boozer
Matt Harpring
2005 #6 pick

-for-

Tim Thomas
Michael Sweetney
2005 #8 pick

Then we draft only front court players

keep it simpler:

tim + #8 for boozer + #6

but i think this is his next move and why he moved kurt now. i think boozer is a knick as of next tuesday night.

i love that trade, but i don't see Utah giving us the 2 better players AND the better lottery pick just to unload a contract.

I hope that trade happens, at 6 Isiah would in no way be able to logically pick Channing Frye so that would make this Knick fan happy Imagine a starting lineup that had Marbury, Crawford, Q and Boozer as 4 of the starters, it would be VERY interesting. Then with #6 and #30 the Knicks would be able to take really whatever they wanted, if Gerald Green or Danny Granger were available at 6 you would have to take one of them and then at 30 Zeke would have the ability to take maybe a Taft(according to Chads mock) maybe a Blatche, Taft, Randolph Morris. If that happens, I can't wait to see the line of Zeke haters start to dwindle because this Knicks team would be MUCH improved. Me and Bonn (I know there's more then just us but I can't remember anyone else at this present time becuase of the excitement of the Q trade) could bask in the glory of Zeke and our sticking with his guns.

Yeah this works.

Granger at 6 tho. I don't care what our needs are, let all these wings battle it out and trade who we are not keeping to fill out our front court. This is the best way to do it. YOu don't take a big at 6 and there are none projected to be that good at 6.

I might add that a boozer trade isn't imperative, but that a trade for a center is imperative. We have 1.2 million PF's already, we need a center. I would take Boozer, this trade would help us, but we need a center even after this trade.

I think Green and Granger will be gone at 3 and 4. Chad has Frye going #6 to Utah. If I am 99.9% sure that Frye will get drafted by the Knicks. Moving up the board is just making sure that it happens

Yeah... in general, you take the best available player in the lottery and sort everything out later.

If/when this KT trade goes through, I think the Knicks should pursue these Gasol/Boozer deals if they're really on the market.

Both are young and talented... and it ain't easy getting young, yet proven 18ppg/9rpg big men...

I kind of doubt either of them are-- Boozer's still new and fresh in Utah; don't forget UTAH started out the season on fire, behind Boozer's torrid start. The wheels fell off the bus when AK47's got hurt... then Boozer eventually succumbed to injury. They'd be apt to try again.

As far as Gasol goes, I'd imagine they'd let Fratello have a fresh start w/ him too.

i think someone mentioned this before but i think we could getaway with boozer at center for a bulk of the game. combo that with a possible trade DOWN (#6 + #30 + #54 to toronto for #7 and #14) or maybe #6 + #30 + penny for #7 + #14 and rose and then take frye AND bynum or granger and bynum.

What the hell? We needed to get rid of PF's. Now we still have get Rose or Taylor out of the Knicks roster. We don't need more PF's. I'm fine with Sweetney, Taylor and J.Williams.

DJ: If the Knicks add Q-Rich, Boozer, and a solid young player at #8 to play alongside Marbury and Ariza and whoever else is left, are you still gonna give up your season tickets???

If I had the money, I'd pay to see that lineup

With Thomas gone we have nobody on that front line. Maybe Boozer is a little overrated but I rather have him that having Rose playing pf and Sweetney playing center

Me too, but a center he is not. He does not fill that hole. We NEED a center!
Now a Boozer trade is IMPERATIVE!!!!
