He had enough talent on that team to make the playoffs in the East. He did a terrible job with the Bucks....

Like Real GM said he could be a candidate for Portland.

the Bucks couldn't pass up a chance to get a big name coach. Briggs you know more than anyone else here that the NBA is a business first.

Most people don't think 3-4 years down the line, they live in the here and now.

I don't know how fair that is. The season prior that team wasn't supposed to be talented enough to make the playoffs and he did a great job with them. This year they didn't make many changes and had guys like KVH banged up at various times and to a lesser extent Michael Redd, and not to mention no TJ Ford all year. Add that to the fact the team really became sellers at the deadline.

You figure if they were really upset and wanted to fire him, they would've done it by now, before several of the vacancies started getting filled up, not a week before the draft.

That is b.s and you know it...the NBA has double standards for coaches...If you are white, you will be given a hell of a lot of time to fail, but if you are black, forget about it...after one year, you will be gone..

i could be wrong but i righteously don't think the color of his skin really matters.

Denver coach Jeff Bzelik? is white and he got fired.

It was two years!

In fact, if most coaches are white, then they get fireed at a high percentage if not more! Isiah fired two black coaches! It is racist is if a black GM fires a black coach?

Coaches getting fired as they do is crazy, has been crazy for years.

Has little to do with race.

Porter might end up in portland. If so, then he got dumped to move on!

I think the NBA is the most progressive sport in terms of representation between players and GMS & front office types.

Its still not perfece.

Maybe Redd didn't like Porter?

Wouldn't mind Terry here in NYC, just not sure he is such an upgrade over Herb.

I don't think the Bucks had anything resembling a playoff team last season, even in the East. Once KVH went down, they were screwed. I think Terry is a good coach. Maybe this had somethign to do with an argument over whether to take Bogut or Marvin? Like Terry wanted Marvin and the Bucks wants Bogut?

Either way, I wonder if Terry gets a call from Zeke.

I doubt it. Isiah wants a guy with championship rings as either a player or coach to lead the Knicks...That is why I think Laimbeer is the right fit....he won as a student, player and coach....
