Why not trade #8 to the Magic for two of their picks? We can actually get the same players that we have been scouting all along with the 11th pick and perhaps trade one of our bad contracts to them.....Penny expressed the need to go back to Orlando, what if we package Penn and the 8th pick for 11 and Tonny Battie or Cato????

Nice idea, but:

a) No thanks on those guys, especially Cato.
b) I think the Magic sit tight & grab Sean May.
c) I wouldn't categorize Penny's contract as bad any more....its an asset now

Sign me up Dido. Battie or Cato would be a nice role player off the bench. But to move up 3 slots....the 11 and the 41 has to be a must.

but that only gives us an additional 2nd rounder, whereas the guys we are talking about (Bynum, Petro, etc, etc) we need an extra first rounder.

Why not??? We need an extra pick badly...We are to recover from all of the mistakes that we have made in the past...


We have a lot of scenarios or trade ideas that we can put together to get an extra pick...

Yea, but we need 1st rounders. I'd rather do a penny or TT for Rose & Toronto's pick- say at 8, add a mid round and keep 30.
