If you could package Sweetney to be able to draft Frye, would you? Who would you rather have?

I would definatly trade Sweet for Frye straight up just based on team makeup. I think they are a wash talent/value wise

yes, I would trade Sweets. He is a decent player, but I think Frye will be able to provide more of what we need. Some shot blocking AND offense, as opposed to just offense.

no one in their right mind would trade for a 6-8 overweight PF when they can draft someone better & taller like Frye

I think Frye is a much better prospect than Sweetney. Sweetney lacks athleticism but has other intangibles such as the umm... plentiful backside to be a very effective banger inside. His transformation is near complete. I can wait to the day when Sweetney will be able to bounce off his belly as they attempt to run at him to guard. Just like Fat Albert.

Want a side order of fryes??

Unfair question. Really, potential vs. seeing what a player can and cannot do?

No way I trade an unproven commodity for a proven one like Sweets!

Sweets has proven himself able to play at this level. We Know nothing about Fry other than his college days.

Best thing is to think if Sweets and Frye can complement each other into better players.

The best scenario is they are both worth keeping!

This is true. But I don't think Sweetney has proven he can be a starter in two years in this league. Even when he was handed the starting job, he couldn't stay on the floor for more than 24 minutes because of foul troubles and fat troubles.

I would be shocked if Frye wasn't starting for the Knicks on Opening Night.

That's the difference to me.

The key is can we package Sweets for another first rounder.

Frye is the safe pick, but Sweets and KT for Memphis 15th and a bad ocntract.

I disagree. Sweetney can handle himself under the basket in the nba. He's a very good rebounder and low post scorer and goes to the line a lot. Frye got killed every time he went against Ike Diogu, whose game is very much like Sweetney's. Frye is going to be a major bust.
