Because Bynum's brother told the Lakers to take pick 17. Bynum's brother runs the whole league.

I have no idea where Bynum will go in this draft. But I feel confident to say, teamS that bypass him will have made a huge mistake.

I know we will not be involved with him, I knew that from day 1--how could we, Isiah and the brass never saw him play in shape. They were fixated on Frye and probably poo-pooed this kid, and now they don't have enough information, and I think that many clubs dont have enough information. they only did 4 workouts and 1 public workout, thats all you can go by. You cant go by the mCD or Jordan Classic, because the kid was 30 pds overweight and coming off injury.
But we should've followed someone with his dimensions much harder. Our loss, someone's gain.

This is the biggest tragedy in history! We're not going to get Bynum cuz he's going first overall to the Bucks! Now Bynum's brother is going to get mad and not allow any more sports in the entire new York metro area!

HIS loss he doesn't works out for us. You could be picked #8 if you showed you are a better prospect than Frye and you say its enough? From a guy who doesn't know even if he will be picked up in the first round? Gimme a break, thys guy could turn out to be a great player, but so far his show hasn't been run the best way. This guy should be working hard because he has no pick right now. I'd rather move up, take the best player at 8, Petro at, say, 17-25 and call it a good day. If he becomes a great player, fine for him.

If Bynum doesn't get drafted in the top ten, I seriously question the Bynum family for cancelling his Knicks workout. Why? What's the reason NOT to workout for his hometown team? Did the Knicks tell him they would only consider him at 30?

At this rate, I'd still be really surprised to see Bynum go in the top ten. Maybe the Lakers take him, but if they don't, this kid could go into a free fall. I really question the brother's intentions here. It doesn't seem like a smart way to run someone's career AT ALL. Maybe I'm wrong and the Lakers trade up and he goes 6th overall - I just don't see it.

It's not HIS loss! It's the NYK's loss! He's going first overall! This is going to be worse than the curse of the Bambino! I'm O-fficially becoming a Bucks fan right this second because Bynum is going to be the greatest player that ever lived, better than Chamberlain and Russell combined! Mark my words! Bookmap this thread! Bynum will lead the Bucks to the championship every single year that he plays! You'll see! You'll be eating crow!

HAHA!! Dude, you need counseling...

BRIGGS look at what you are doing to people with all this Bynum-hype. You've driven this dude mad. You've convinced a majority of the board that Bynum can walk on water. You've hurt Channing Frye's feelings. Dido is sick of the suggestions. Knicks fans are stir crazy. It's all your fault. You are under the control of Bynums evil older brother aren't you? WWCD - What would Corey do?

Players like Bynum don't grow on trees. You dont have a chance to get a Bynum every year. What do you want me to say?

Just to be clear. I was just joking around. Trying to lighten the mood around here. Seems to be a bit of a revolt against you and your opinions and I was just having some fun with it. Personally, I don't watch enough college or HS to have a worth opinion on the subject of who we take. I just hope whoever we take pans out.

If we don't pick Bynum. Its his fault. You don't cancel workouts all while trying to prove you are a workhorse with a great work ethic.

How are folx assuming isiah wasn't at his public workout?

His public Workout was average at best (from several published reports), so what is it that Isiah was missing if he wasn't there?

I highly doubt he gets picked higher than us.

I wouldn't pick a player based on potential and a public workout against no one, that was less than spectacular. 7-2 and 280 are good, but they aren't everything. If you are really the goods, you play your way into the lottery, not try to bluff your way in.

What does he have to hide?

If he wanted to get picked by us he should have worked out for us. Period. Its Bynum's fault or his brothers fault, not Isiah's.

if the lakers want bynum so badly, why not pitch to the lakers, we are taking Bynum at 8 or you can trade Odom+#10 for T.Thomas+#8.

Some GM is going to lose his job behind Bynum, if Stanley Roberts..err, Bynum goes in the top 10

mark my work.

RUmor has it the Knicks are taking Monta Ellis

Thta is the best thing that I have heard so far...Trade TT or Penny + 8 to the Lakers for Odoms and 10...However, that will never happen, because Phill loves Odoms

Monta Ellis???

Are you kiddin? The high school kid who is like 6 2 and plays SG?

That would be by far the worst possible pick at 8. I'd even take Frye over him.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
