I would love to take a long look at Gomes and Rush here. And I like Anderson as well.

I'd still really like to snag Deng Gai at 54, I think he's going to be a defensive stud.

Are you sure Webster is working out for the 30th pick? I thought he was a candidate for the 8th pick

He is is considered to be like a top 20 candidate and NBAdraft.net had the Knicks picking him at one point. If we trade for another pick, mid first round, I'd be thrilled to draft him.

The interesting guys here are Marko Lekic, Alan Anderson, and Gomes. All are in for their second workouts. These three guys should be in the running for #30/54

Cbs.sportsline said They and the Jazz were very impressd with
Lekic in a prior workout.. he's got very good size, shooting, handle, and athleticism (good hops).. but plays little for a Atlas (serbia).

Gomes vs. Webster is an interesting matchup.. for sure.

yeah, Webster is obviously a lotto pick, but everyone else seems like a candidate for the 30th pick.

So why would Isiah be wasting his time bringing in guys for the 8th pick if he promised it to Frye? Is it really just a smoke screen? Is that the theory now?

And if Frye is selected prior to #8?

Andersen and Gomes have pro bodies. Gomes has more upside, but they do play different positions.

Branden Rush is a true wild card because he has more talent than any of them.

by whom? Let's be realistic. Most of the critics here are saying that Isiah's the only person in the top 15 let alone the top 7 who would consider drafting Frye

Geeze bonn....you wouldn't make a good planner. Lets not have a backup plan at all...we don't need one!

Most critics are wrong when it comes to drafting, because most teams don't talk about who they are interested in and put out all sorts of smoke screens.

No actually GS and LA were supposed to be in the running as well.

I realize that, but most critics were making it sound like no one would take him before #20 if our crack smoking GM didn't take him

ouch; that's harsh. Maybe these are all backup and backup backup and backup backup backup plans etc. Or maybe they have no intention of picking Frye. You raise an interesting possibility, though, about these all being backup and backup backup etc. players. There's definitely nothing wrong with considering all the possibilities

huh? There's no way Frye lasts past 10 if the Knicks don't take him.

I agree; but you'd never get that impression from the critics who are making it sound like he's not worthy of a top 20 pick!
