This clearly says he does not have a guarantee to be taken in the lottery. Enough already.

Is there even a link saying he's cancelling those workouts or is just Briggs' opinion?

From the article:

"Bynum canceled two workouts for next week, scheduled for Toronto and New York. Thomas said Bynum's workouts went so well last week that he didn't feel he needed any more before the draft. "

Is there even a link saying he's cancelling those workouts or is just Briggs' opinion?

The cancellations are mentioned later in the article, but the article begisn with he has no lottery guarantee. They THINK he will go in the lottery.

This makes no sense. You have no guarantee, you could end up being picked 22-30 (not close to what you expect) and you cancel two workouts with two lottery teams because you feel its enough? Something smells like fish here (not you mike )...

It could mean he's guaranteed a lottery slot or just as easily be a marketing ploy to keep teams guessing and pump up interest in him.

Hmmm... I remember Maciej Lampe thought the same thing...

Why do I have this gut feeling that Corey Bynum doesn't have a clue on what he's doing and is probably hurting Bynum more than helping him? Lets say Andrew DIDN'T get a top 10 guarantee. How can he make that assumption? I don't like this whole "Andrew is Corey's puppet" thing.

the only people who know where Andrew is going are the people who promised him. I dont know why Andrew called off workouts, but is it any different from Channing frye saying "he has never spoken a word to isiah Thomas". There is a LOT of BS and disinformation. I will say that I have received absolute correct and verifiable reports that Bynum kicked some arse in his last 2 workouts in LA and Portland.

I dont think anyone can say I have a guarantee, but I also havent heard a whisper out of JC either. S0 something happened on the way to LA.

well it was said he did kick Petro's ass in the post, but had a hard time guarding the smaller more athletic Petro.

"He worked out for (Los Angeles Lakers general manager) Mitch Kupchak at No. 10 and a few other people," Calhoun said. "From everything I've been told, he's not ready."

Case in point: Bynum wasn't invited to participate in last week's pre-draft camp in Chicago.

In fact, Bynum wasn't even extended an invitation to be measured and weighed for the NBA brass, unlike ex-UConn forward Charlie Villanueva, who is expected to be a top-15 pick on draft night and could crack the lottery's pot of gold.

"If Bynum stays (at UConn) for two years, he'll be a lottery pick," one NBA scout predicted Monday night. "I know there's not a lot of big guys in this draft, but that doesn't necessarily mean he should rush things.

"I saw his (June 4) workout in New York. He still has a lot of work to do. I haven't heard anyone talk about him in the lottery.

"Could he go in the first round? Sure. Could he benefit from two years in the Big East? Absolutely."

Bynum, who averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks last season, could help UConn chase its third national championship next season. The Huskies have already been tabbed as the preseason No. 1 team in the country by several pundits, including Dick Weiss of The New York Daily News.

Bynum, who recovered nicely from a minor knee injury last season, chose the Huskies over North Carolina, Georgia and Georgia Tech.
I don't see anything here about him kicking anyone's arse. It could have happened, but I need a link.
