Holy mackarel, how unbelievable was Horry? That was one of the best 4th quarter/OT performances in the finals I have ever seen! He outdid himself this time!

He is absolutely unbelievable. You could feel that shot coming when he was the inbounder.

I know it. How could Tayshaun leave him?

I really don't understand why he left him. I could see the temptation to trap Ginobli in the corner, but he was too far off to stop Manu from making that pass. I love that Horry was clapping and shouting for the ball. That guy is ice.

It wasn't Tayshaun, it was freaking Rasheed! Grr!!! Why did he had to double team Manu?!? There was no need! He had to be in Horry's face, make it impossible for him! How do you dare to leave Horry wide open for 3 when you only have a 2 point lead! Man! If they end up losing the series, they can thank Rasheed and that play! He didn't have to be making a lame attempt at stealing Manu, he had to be in front of Horry. Actually, Tayshaun did a good job trying to get there in time.

Very frustrating loss at home for the Pistons! I hate it! It was a great game, but that was such a frustrating way to lose. Hate Horry!

Now for the Pistons to win they have to win two straight at San Antonio, where they have only lost 5 times all year. Grrrrr!!!!!!!!! This game, after all the emotions, all the clutch shots, left me empty and sad. Grr!!!!!

Yeah it was Rasheed who left him and Tayshaun rotated over. I don't know if the defensive play called for a trap and a quicker rotation, but the Spurs did a good job of spreading the floor and Horry had a crap load of time to shoot it. Its still unbelievable that the one guy on the floor who has made an NBA reputation for hitting clutch 3's in the playoffs is left open behind the line.

And he made that three after hurting his arm on another great play, the dunk. This guy can make a clutch three with one hand! Unfreakinbelievable!!!!!

haha...man, didn't you get the feeling that after he hurt his arm on that play, that the likelihood of him making some unbelievable shot at the end of the quadrupled? I always felt Horry never really lived up to his talent/ability, but it doesnt matter b/c he's gonna be remembered more for making these kindsa plays anyway...

Im sure Brown will have a heavy talk with Rasheed after that play. I just can't believe it either. If they called a trap, at the same time they had to get a guy in front of Horry. I'd rather let them tie the game than letting a great clutch hitter come through again. This game was in the Piston's hand and they lost it. Duncan, even with a great night, missed key foul shots, lost some balls in the end, and Manu wasn't really special.

Well, if Horry made a miracle three with seconds left to win at Detroit, I can only hope for two miracles for Detroit in San Antonio.

Yeah, you could just imagine the recap highlighting how with an arm hurt, he still hit The Shot. I just can't believe Detroit made such a mental mistake. I would've defended the perimeter like there's no tomorrow and even would've fouled Duncan, considering how badly he was throwing from the foul line.

Ironic that Detroit lost because of a mistake on their biggest strenght, their D. I still hope this extends to 7 games, and obviously hope the Piston can again defy all odds and win over there...

All I can say is, go SA!
Horry seemed to be incredible from what it sounds. I'll have to see if any of my friends taped it.

You are absolutely right about Duncan. I was watching the game with my Brother and bro told me that Duncan should buy Horry a Ferrari after this game. Duncan really came up empty, missing those FT's, missed that tip, fumbled the ball in OT. Nice statline but he was horrendous offensively down the stretch. Meanwhile Horry turns it on out of no where.

Ha, '99 doesn't make me hate the Spurs or anything. They're a great all around team that IMO is head and shoulders above the rest of the league. Detroit is a team that just gets under my skin as much as any other.
Guess we can only look forward to the day that we're heading into game 6 of the finals screaming "GO NY".

Ohh man, I will be such a happy man that day! Hopefully! Its tough seeing the state of the Knicks today...

Well, I root for Detroit because they are the kind of team New York was some time ago, and the team that you, at least I, love to root for, because they don't win with a star, they win because they are the ultimate team. Thats why I hope they come back and win it all...

I said a few weeks ago that Rashweed was becomeing again "metally soft".

His game the latter part of last year was an aberation! granted, this piston team is better than the one he left, but the mental softness has not helped them this series.

Last nite was idiotic! How do you leave HOrry? Why do you think he was in the freaking game? I take prince on Manu anytime and Manu hitting a fall away in the corner is not nearly as high as wide open bigshot BOB! ss

I don't put anytihng past Detroit, but this is a big mountain!
Pressure mounts, Rashweed wilts. Watch him whine and complain in game 6!

He got them there last year and they don't go to finals this year without him, but man o'man what a disappointment!

Why didn't detroit go after Horry in OT when he picked up his fifth foul early?

I fell asleep midway through the 4th quarter. I was too tired and just couldn't stay up. I can't believe I missed this!
