How about we ship out Crawford and Maurice Taylor and get Kelvin Cato and Turkaglu in return. At least we would get a center and a versatile swingman who can shoot from the outside and put it on the floor. We have a glut already at PF and Rose can play 4 as a backup. I am willing to part with Crawford.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I wouldn't mind having Cato on the bench, he's a good back up. But the trade is another thing - we have to give Craw at least one more season I think.

I don't mind if we have to part with Crawford, and I know we need a center, but tell me, which one of those two, Turkaglu or Cato, is worth giving up Jamal.

I think it is all about filling needs and we need a center and we don't need Crawford with Marbury. They are too similar: terrible defense and not disciplined in a half court offense. Turk is a shooter who can do what Crawford did, get hot in spurts, and gives us more size.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Yeah thats my thing, I wouldn't trade Craw for Cato and Turkalo. The talent isn't comparable. Is turkolo gonna be an all-star? His ceiling is much lower than Craws, even right now, and Kelvin Cato is really nothing special at all.

I have to respectfully say that this trade sux.

Guys, we are getting screwed in that trade in the long and short run. Why would we give up KT and Crawford for an aging center and an overrated small foward and doesn't even do much. Christie sucks now too. But for arguements sake, lets say we get the better end in the short term. What's the point? It's not taking us in the playoffs. We get screwed in the longrun b/c we give up Crawford for crap. I still have faith that Crawford can become successful. Why can't we just draft and then stay put and let the contracts expire? No need to dig us into a bigger hole than what we already are in.

This trade is garbage, Knicks won't give up on Crawford after one year. When did Cato and Turkoglu become good players? Knicks give up the two best players in the deal.

Who plays 2 for the Knicks if they do this?

giving up Crawford for those 2 scrub backups is way too much. Crawford my be a 6th man combo guard but he's a top flight one. We have enough bench players on this team

I would do the deal if the KNicks can get a more disaplined sg in the draft. like Wright or Granger. Definitely do it. I think Crawford will never be an all star. His shooting percentage just isn't good enough he is more a product of shooting rather than playing basketball the right way.

u guys tend to forget what happened with larry hughes this past year...he's been in the league for a while to and this past year he led da league in steals and avged over 20pts....i feel crawford can turn into a hughes type player...numerous times times this past year i've seen crawford disrupt the passing lanes...the only thing crawford needs to be is more disciplined on offense and play defense....crawford gained 8 lbs over the span of the season...he should come back next year with more muscle on him..crawford has all da tools to be a good player...he just needs to know how to utilize them with the right coaching

He is still better than both of those players. He is still starting material. Those guys are backups and are limited potential players whereas Crawford could explode next season or the one after that.

OK, get Orlando to throw in Jameer Nelson too then. Marbury can switch over to 2 guard for parts of games. I should have included Nelson from the start. It still works under the cap.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
