i have a feeling we'll end up with this guy. stick with me here. in his Q&A on the Knicks' site, IT said he expected this guy to go in the lottery, but most mock drafts have him going in the second round. if he's on the board at 30, IT can see this guy as a steal, maybe someone that would fit his model, young, athletic, can score.

the IT interview (mentions ellis in the last question): http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/Isiah_predraftcamp050614.html

you guys think this is a possibility? am i on the right track with this? would it be a good pick? thoughts?

scouting report if you don't know much about him, i didn't but heard his name mentioned a few places: http://draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=289
maybe not my first choice, but talented and high ceiling...

Sounds like a second rounder to me. I wouldn't want him at 30. He doesn't sound like what we need at all.

i mostly agree with his placement in the mocks in the late first or into the second round, but the IT comment about expecting him to go in the lottery makes me think IT could be surprised to see him available at 30 and grab him.

I'd rather have Orien Greene.

As long as we have Stephon, we don't need a (possible) stud PG backing him up for 5-10 min a game. I'd rather have a big back up PG in Greene at 6-5 who is reported to be a great defensive player with huge upside and good attitude.

This draft is deeeeeeeep with PGs. I'd hope that Isiah tried to go after bigs or wing players with 8 & 30, and then use 54 to net us a decent back-up PG such as Greene, Ewing, Conroy, Gilchrist, etc.
(At the same time, if players like Tisher/Stephen Graham/Moussa Badiene are available at 54, I'd happy with that too.)

If Isiah selects at 8 or 30 a PG with great potential to get starter minutes down the road like Deron Williams or Jaret Jack... I think it could possibly mean that Marbury's knee problem is serious...?

Either IT misspoke and meant to say Green and Webster, or something is up. No way Monta goes lottery and IT knows it.

In terms of players that may potentially fall, the players I am most interested in are 1) Rashad McCants and 2) Julius Hodge.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

The rumor was Minnesota was very interested in Monta Ellis with the 14th pick. That could have been why he figured he would go in the lottery.

I don't think he'll be there at 30. He's an Iverson/Marbury type point guard who will put up offensive numbers in the nba. He's too thin and isn't the passer you want at the point, but he is such a good scorer that someone will take him in the first round.
