and got the slight better of him. Supposedly he looked much bigger than Petro and was able to use that, but Petro was more fluid. Sounds like both players could go 20-30 if they want.

Now that wouldve been cool to watch. Give a lot of credit to Bynum at 17 years old to battle a guy who has played professionaly for 4 years.

If Bynum had played his cards better he could have played professionally for 4 years in HS like Lebron did.

Thats why Bynum is probably not going to be picked high, because at only 17, with an injury this year, he has only played good basketball --again against HS competetion for 1 1/2 yrs. Hes probably 2-3 years behind the fundamental skills and play of guys who went to college for 4 years. Lebron and Amare S are one of a kind type players. This is more of a guy who was a blob who happened to grow and start taking the game seriosly just 2 years ago. But he went from not even being in a top 250 pool and a year and half later is being fought over by UC and NCplaying the HS all star games and now working for a 1st round NBA draft pick. Just because of his immense size and athletic ability, he will be able to contribute NOW for some club, even in a 5-8 minute role at the end of off balanced games or foul trouble. I stay with my prediction that in 3 years he will be a graded out a a top 3 guy from this draft class, and that includes going to Uconn if he chooses. UC has been working hard behind the scenes to get him to pull out

i think he's going to bounce up and down a great deal in the mocks over the next week and a half.

RIght now i'd predict he'll get taken in the low-mid 20's.

Briggs, do you know if we're having Petro here for a workout?

there is still possibility for it, but it's not likely. Remember the LAL just brought back Phil, paying him 10mm per, just like the Knicks and many teams in the top 15, they may not have the time to wait on this player. he hasnt shown enough to be picked 10, it would be based on his potential. I think right now everyone at Uconn including myself hopes that he pulls out. I thought it would be a great opportunity for the Knicks to get a true athletic 5 with immense size, but they are looking for guy with NBA ready skill sets and that is understandable. We may think it might be in our best interests to wait on him, but its their jobs on the line.

Bynum will endup in a Knicks uniform next to Herb....Petro will be our 19th pick with Frye at 8...That will give us 3 real centers on our roster...Let me dream folks...

I would really be mad with Isiah if he can't resolve our problems by this season...With LA making moves to acquire more picks, it is imperative for us to counter...they may endup big and versatile from all of their 5 spots, so Isiah better be careful...After all, LA and N.Y. are supposed to be rivals..

As much as I hate the Lakers, we can't just force a move to keep up with them. Let's just stockpile some real young and talented players and deal with it from there. If those players happen to fill a current need, all the better, but talent over position either way.

Still keeping my fingers crossed on Bynum though.
