I would love to take a long look at this guy if he falls to 54. Could be a Josh Smith, Ben Wallace type on D.

definitely an interesting prospect. the problem is, we have malik and JYD, both defensive specialists at the PF. having some shotblocking on the end of the bench would be nice, but would he get any minutes after the vets? it's too bad we can't take deng and stick him in a blender with malik and jerome and come out with a defensive monster in just one player.

good point. to me, though, unless one of the short combo guards falls to 54, it'll be hard to find value at that pick. Gai seems like a good way to get value. Maybe he takes a year or two to develop and by the time he's ready JYD and Mo T are gone.

you definitely take whatever you can get in teh late 2nd round. but the mocks i've looked at have some interesting SG prospects around or after our pick, that could be another way to go.
