Bonn actually inspired this but I tried to take it to another level. If Denver wants to get rid of Jayson Williams, clear slary and and start fresh with some picks in a deep draft, here it is!
New York Trades Penny JYD not KT because of the salary and trade kicker. 8 3 Million cash
Recieves Pau Gasol Lorenzen Wright (expires after 05/06) Eduardo Najera (expires after 07//08 who makes about 12 million over 3 years @4+ per compared to Kurt who makes 22 over 3) Voshon Lenard (expires after 05/06)
Denver Trade: Eduardo Najera Voshon Leonard #20
For Jason Williams
Memphis Trades: Pao Gasol Jason Williams Lorenzen Wright
For JYD Penny Hardaway #8 #20
New York: Pao is a great talent, not a franchise one, but nevertheless we could use a 7 foot skilled guy to run with. Everyone else expires at the end of the season except Najera who probably has a cheap guyout, he only has 12 mill left anyway. Lorenzen Wright is gonna be tried out if he plays well he stays if not hes gone, and Voshon Leonard will gone (maybe bought out or cut) before or after the season.
Memphis: They dump Salary, 2 picks and 3 million for their trouble, while not giving up their pick. If you wanna start over this is the draft to do it, there are many good players all over the board, to form a young team with. This means they have the 8, 19, and 20th picks. You can't be mad at that in this draft and any of the players they pick could end up being a star. Jerr West should be able to go out with a bang.
Denver: I know they have Boykins, and Andre Miller, but they need a pg nonetheless. White Chocolate fits their style of play perfectly, and hes actually a good shooter, albeit a streaky one. They'll have to trade Miller or Boykins or both, but they really had to do that anyway, and with Millers size he can play some time at the 2, he just better not shoot it. They also still have their #22 to pick up a good player.
