we didnt make a good effort to make it a secret! Almost every teams website posters know we are taking Frye. I have no frikin clue who teams above us will take, even up to 3, although I suspect trade there. Utah at 6--who the hll knows--Jarret Jack measured out at 6-4 200, to me thats a big frikin PG and they need 1, I wonder if they will value him higher than Felton?
At this point there is no complaining, there is only hoping Frye will come in and play well.

The whole Frye thing reminds me of the 3 stooges when Mo holds out his fist and Curly hits it....then Mo brings his fist around and wacks Larry, who is just sort of standing there ready to laugh at Curly getting hit...I feel like we are Larry just standing there waiting to see what we are gonna get and we are gonna unexpectedly get nailed right in the damn chops...

Am I the only one who thinks that the ONLY reason we attacked Iraq is that Saddam beat up lil' Larry Bush in 2nd grade?

I tend to agree. I am still convinced it's a smokescreen until the moment they actually announce Frye going at #8. I'd be willing to bet that we don't take him at #8.

Some scenarios I envision for Frye, are as follows:

*A slightly higher team such as Toronto, buys into the hype and drafts Frye at #7.
*Frye slips to #15 and is taken by the Nets.
*Frye becomes this year's big slippery slider and the Knicks do take him... at #30!

What I don't see is the Knicks taking him at #8. I would hate that pick.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Isiah did do this with McGrady, he went on and on about how he was too young, and the Raptors were about trying to get NBA ready players not kids. How he hated that these kids don't go to college and blah blah blah. And he turns around and takes him without blinking. I don't know why he does all that. He should just not say anything, I guess he gets satisfaction out of trying to duke out other GMs, and the press. Jerry West does that too. Annoying at times.

Frye is scary. Isnt there a reason Frye was a first round bubble or 2nd round pick for the 3 years he's been in a mock draft? Then he has 3-4 good post season games, gets a little stronger and now he's a lottery player. Thats a little scary to me. Ignoring his 4 years of average play in a conference where Curtis Borchardt dominated is utter folly.

If you wanna believe Isiah, he said he's taking the BPA. Take that for what it's worth.

Briggs, Ive heard the Lakers maybe trading up to 6 to take Fran V, with the Jazz getting Butler and taking Jack at 10. Do you think the Raptors would take Felton over Granger? They're sick of Alston and will probably try to move him this summer.

Does Granger have a shot to slip to 8?

1) Bogut
2) Marvin
3) Paul (to CHA for 5 and something else?)
4) Deron
5) Green
6) Fran (to Lakers for Jack?)
7) Felton
8) Granger?
9) Warrick (maybe Frye if we skip him)
10) Jack
11) Martell

it's a possibility, and if Zeke is talking BPA, I'd hope he takes a long look at Granger.

Here's something from the Isiah Q&A from the Knicks website:

Question of the Day: Thursday, June 16

Hello Isiah, How do you feel about drafting a high School Player if the talent is there? Also would you have any problem playing them right away? (Adam Schwartz)

A: Good question Adam. As you probably know most of the players we have brought in are pretty young... Trevor Ariza, Michael Sweetney, Jackie Butler, even Jamal Crawford. I think you have to find the right person for your team regardless of age and see if he can fit in both your short term and long term plans. I have been with other organizations where we have taken a high school player early so it can happen (Tracy McGrady is one example), and there will be a few high school players in the lottery. The next few weeks there will be a big part of our planning for all three of the picks we have right now.
