No. Jackson has repeatedly said Kobe is the best player in the NBA. That's why Jax went to the Lakers and not the Knicks. Jackson will get Odom far more involved, but Kobe will always be the focus. I wonder who they'll draft now. Jackson sure won't care about getting a midget PG like Felton. He may like Jack. He may also be interested in a guy like Bynum... time will tell.

As for how this effects the Knicks, hey, at least we know now. My guess is Isiah will wait out Larry Brown as well. He'll probably look at PJ Carlesimo again. But I'm still saying it's going to be Herb.

yeah, they just got the best coach in the league, NOW is definitely the time to see if they want to give up their second best player and only rebounder who happens to be a perfect fit for the triangle offense. quick, call Jerry Buss.

Good point Pharzeone. That book has lost its credibility. It looks like Phil just need a break. All the Kobe fans can now say that Kobe is indeed coachable. Good post.

Phil Jackson is a great coach but there is no way in the world i would go back to a franchise that basically gave him little or no respect after he helped make them matter again.

Jeanne Buss must got some good stuff.
