in your opinion, which knick(s) is untouchable?

there's only one clear cut knick for me and that's ariza. a close second is sweetney and that's it. everybody else is available.

I would add butler and athough I like Sweetney I would make him available especially since we have 5 other PFs and Sweetney will never be that much better than either.

I dont see how Sweetney and Butler get to be untouchables. I honestly wouldnt mind trading Ariza either. Sure he is good but I would trade him for someone like Boozer. IMHO, there are no untouchables on this team.

you have to develope your talent and we have the right coache, well except Herb and GM in place.

I mean just look at the Yankees. Their failure to hold on to their own talent in favor of 40yr olds and juicers is the biggest reason they are where they are today. Thank you Brian Cashman! We have to get Gene Michael back in the mix!

you dont have to develop all superstars but you need a team that will grow together and go through the wars together. I mean just put on MSG now and watch the 1994 Knicks!

Nobody is untouchable imo. I value Ariza highest of our players. Mainly cause he isn't paid much. Actually, I probably value our new draft pick the highest.

Ariza and our draft pick. Why people would call Butler untradable is beyond me. We've never seen him play. Actually. I don't consider Ariza and Butler untradable. Just as close as it gets. Sweetney is close behind.

no question about Granger is our most valuable player or Wright or Webster for that matter

I don't have any untouchables, but Ariza is the last guy I touch on our roster.

What does untouchable mean here? Does it mean that you would never trade the player under any circumstances? If so, then I'd say no one on the roster is untouchable and Lebron and maybe Amare are probably the only players in the NBA who are untouchable.

problably because no teams recognize him other than the die-hard Knick fans who saw him score 10pts in the paint without ever missing a shot in 6 total mins

and the fact that he put HUGE numbers in high school, got bad advice from his agent to go straight to the nba and moved onto the cba and lead the league in scoring and rebounding and blocks at only 19 when most 19yr old would vanish

If Steph can go anyone can go. But for the right price anyone should be able to be traded, to think you guys are saying Ariza and Butler are untouchable is laughable. Only KG and TIm Duncan and Lebron and Amare are untouchable. If you dont have one of those guys, they can be touched. And I mean touched in a real Michael Jackson kind of way......send them to never land.

I honestly don't think anyone hear would rather keep Ariza than trade him for a guy like KG. The problem we have is trading Ariza for the mediocre outcasts this franchise has been in love with. Luckily we have Isiah now. He's not stupid enough to follow in those steps. I'm pretty sure he drafted Ariza, he's damn proud of it and wants to keep him and wants them to grow together and know what its like to wear the uniform

come on fellas, i'm talking about within REASON. shaq, kg, amare, lebron - they're all not gonna be traded to new york.

so now we're talking about the next tier or maybe one more below that AT BEST.

right now, i'm not trading ariza and probably sweetney neither b/c after all this dead weight at the PF expire (mo, jyd, malik), he'll still only be 25.

Realistically, no one on the roster is untouchable (although that doesn't mean everyone should be traded). All things being equal I'd like to hang on to Ariza, but untouchable? Hardly. There are tons of trade scenarios in which I'd be willing to give up Ariza. Somehow I think the term 'untouchable' needs to be better defined, or rather, we need to find a more suitable word (maybe 'keeper' or something...).
