ONe move can prelude another.

We trade Sweets if Booze were to arrive. KT has value also. We need not hit a home run trading them.

This frees up assets to be traded! Mo. T is the backup PF. That is why he was bought here.

One move at a time, but they are orchestrated. We hope.

Yes, Lets get Boozer. Better yet, lets get Boozer and Big Z We can rebuild Cleveland's old frontline!

Then in a couple years Lebron will sign for the MLE to rejoin his old teammates! Oh, and for all those NYC "endorsement opportunities"

Hrm... I'd definitely do the trade in a heartbeat.

Boozer/#6 pick for TT/#8 pick? I'd do it on the basis of moving up 2 spots in this draft!

Boozer's awesome. He plays big (and he looks taller than KT/Sweetney, and the entire Knicks PF corps)... and he's shown real life NBA production... he was averaging 20/10 for a good portion of the season until injuries slowed him (and the team) down. He'll probably be a much better player than Sweetney ever will be in the NBA.

What's the only downside of this proposed trade? We get farther over the cap? :) Big deal.

I like this trade a lot because we'll be getting a real PF. All of our PF's are old or role models.

Plus Boozer plays with heart while TT is a waste of space.

Anyway, our PF slot would be SOLID with:
Boozer/Sweets. (JYD and Rose are good for a few min and.. MoT have fun on the IR)

Isiah wheels and deals KT's expiring contract for whatever he wants (swingman/center), possibly drafts Green and Bynum.

Hah, the drafting isn't too realistic. What would we accomplish by going up in the draft? Fran Vasquez? Green is a long shot.

I like this trade for Boozer, even if he's way overpaid. He's young and he has heart.

This would be a great trade for the Knicks. The Knicks move up 2 spots in the draft AND get a huge upgrade in Power Forward? Sign me up ASAP. I don't want to hear anything about how the stats 48mpg where they are equal because Sweetney CAN NOT play more then 25 minutes a game right now consistently. Sweetney feasts on teams with poor front lines and Boozer plays well night-in and night-out against whatever competition. If this rumor is real then IT better sign off.

I think you mean role players. I don't want Mo Taylor being described as a role model!

A trade worth making, though we'd really have to dump some forwards ASAP. Would the Cavs do Penny/KT/Sweetney for Zydurunas/Snow/Newble?

That might solve the logjam at forward, add a center and help give us a backup PG who can play some D. Draft Martell Webster at 8 and Randolph Morris at 30. Taking on a lot of money again, but we'd be looking at...

PG: Marbury, Snow
SG: Crawford, Houston, Martell Webster
SF: Ariza, JYD, NEwble
PF: Boozer, Rose, Taylor
C: Zydrunas, Randolph Morris, Jackie Butler

I'd do this if Green slipped to #6. Then Utah could draft him for us and we could draft Vazquez for Utah. Otherwise, I don't think the difference between 6 and 8 is very meaningful for us, and Boozer's game and physique is already so similar to players we already have, and he has so many years of big contract #s, that I probably would not do it. But I doubt Green is going to slip to 6, and I doubt this is really on Isiah's radar.
