It seems to me these teams are pretty evenly matched except for Duncan. The guards may decide the series. Who do you think is better from the above mentioned? I personally think Ginobli is better than Rip and Billups is better than Parker. Ginobli creates havoc all over the floor, both offensively and defensively, while Rip is steady but not as effective defensively. Billups is a little stronger defensively and seems to take over games more than Parker although Parker is amazing at getting to the basket and gets in the lane like Nash anytime he wants.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

They are both phenomenal at going to the basket. Their ability to penetrate and make things happen will hurt Detroit. Even when Manu and Parker are not shooting well, they can drive and score in the paint or go to the line. Though Billups is more consistent and reliable than Parker, he and Rip are not as quick or fearless at going to the basket.
Man, I wish he had a player like Manu on this team... He's simply incredible. I love his game!

Manu and Parker are the better backcourt, mainly because they are unstoppable offensively.
Billups and Hamilton are quite good though.
Does anyone else notice a startling resemblance to the way Billups/Hamilton play and the way Marbury/Crawford are built and even how they play at times? Not saying that the Knicks backcourt is as good YET, but it seems like they could eventually get to that point: Crawford as the wiry SG who is impossible to cover, can get to the hole or nail the mid-range J and Marbury as the PG/leader who hits timely Js (marbury is better off the dribble). The only thing the Detroit backcourt has on the Knicks is defensive focus.
I think Herb is fine for next year, but to me this illustrates why we eventually need a hard core defensive coach in the near future.

players like ginobili, marion, amare, artest - they all have this same quality where they just don't give a f ck. you score on them, they don't care, they'll run it right back down your throat and go at you. that's the type of player we need to draft, EVEN if they may be a little less polished or talented than others.

I still can't get over that a talent like Manu was available at 57 (the second to last pick in the draft that year). We've got 54 this year, lets all cross our fingers.

After getting Ariza, I expect big things from Isiah's 54th selection.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
