They have Glenn Robinson
They have Nazr Mohammed
The spurs won't realize half of Prince's points are because the defender forgets he's lefty.

Sheed.

come on, is duncan that much out of shaq's league? the pistons are capable of containing wade, and ginobili is not as good, or as consistent. parker? he's got to watch out for billups, you can't call that matchup for SA offhand.

i'm totally surprised everyone is STILL writing off the spurs after a championship run last year and a playoff run this year where they've shown a lot of heart and guts. it's by no means a done deal for the spurs.

I want to start off by saying, I wouldn't worry too much about the score right now. Series aren't won in the 1st quarter of Game1.

I wasn't going by head to head matchups or anything, just simply responding to
They have Glenn Robinson
They have Nazr Mohammed
.
The Spurs are a much deeper team than Miami, and a much better defensive team. IMO they are head and shoulders above everyone else in the league, and I would be surprised if they didn't take home the hardware.

you watch this game--the nba finals--and you notice how well would a huge athletic C who can really catch the ball with a great touch around the basket. It will be a shame if we pass on the opportunity to get a real C, a true 7-1 275 skill C. Im trying not to think about it, and a fw of the dorks who have no idea what this guy can do, would rather have deji akindale we need a big man, if he takes 2 years wt f cares--are we beating detroit indiana next year? what if bynum goes to Orlando and they have Dwight Howard and bynum in the pivot for years

we'll have no chance to compete, we need to take the risk

I don't know about containing Wade I mean the man was playing hurt and you could clearly see he wasn't 100% and the Heat were still in it to the end. I really think had Wade been healthy it would be Heat and Spurs in the finals.

Let's just say I have a feeling bynum will be less than a 20/10 man...

Keep on underestimating the Pistons.

And watch them keep on winning

Let's not bring the race card into this series. If SA wins this series, it's because they are a flat out better team. Same goes for Detroit (although I don't think they are the better team and I don't see them winning it...thats just all oppinion though).

I was thinking the same thing as Duncan was fighting for position and getting the ball from 3ft under the basket and easily dumping it in over Rasheed. Those are the little things that make a dominant Center. I'm longing for the days of Ewing. I truly feel we can make Bynum our franchise. The pay-off of drafting Bynum is HUGE so much more than drafting a project euro bigman, wing player or a low ceiling serviceable center.

White wistles = home team wears white, and home team gets favorable calls?

race card bailout. I offer this as a bail out.

Sheed is cracking under the pressure. Last year they had little to lose. THis year they can lose the crown!

McDyess and Arroyo played like crap. But the rest was exactly what I thought. The Pistons took the big lead b/c they kept Parker and Manu from doing much, they let Duncan do his thing, they got Tay and Rasheed involved and scoring a little early. Rip had a couple of baskets early, but as I expected, he really struggled throughout the game. We kept the lead to the second half because Billups started carrying the team.

However, the whole Pistons team completely went away from what they did in the first half, tried using Rip way too much instead of running plays for Rasheed and Prince and Billups. Hence, they got blown out in the second half. Mad props to Parker and Manu though. THey could have done much better, but those are 2 good ars freaking ball players.

Briggs, you are one crazy man, even though I agree with you.

HOW do you reach that from watching this game? Detroit's "Huge athletic C" is Ben Wallace at 6'8". SA's "Huge athletic C" is Nazy Mohammed at 6'10"
I don't disagree with you that we need a huge athletic C. That's a no-brainer; nearly every team has that need. It looks like you're projecting Bynum onto the screen whenever the thought of basketball enters your mind. It's like basketball and Bynum are synonyms now and should be together in the thesuras!
