I think when we lost Nazr what we lost was our best shot at a sign and trade. He represented a servicable center with a very reasonable expiring contract. A guy that worked hard and had a good character.

IT got 2 1st rounders for him so why not try & package those along w/cash for a late teens pick?

what exactly is your point? just because you say that nazr + 3 mil can fetch the 19th pick doesn't mean it's true

yeah reality is starting to go bye bye, around here. That is why I am starting to propose that Isiah trade Houston for a lotto pick this year, too. Hell, If Nazr and 3 million can you 19th, imagine what $40 million + Houston could get you. Then trade Marbury, TT, KT, MO T, if your name starts, ends or have a T in it. That means you too Ariza, you stink of losing from this past season.

and just b/c you're tag is bigpimpin doesn't mean your a big pimp, right?

you can apply that to 99.99% of the posts here. it's all opinions.

i bring this up b/c i DO think that nazr is way more valuable now than he was in february.

so trading him on draft night is a definite possibility. i pick memphis b/c it's been documented that they're interested in moving the pick - and why not for a decent C and cash so he's basically a one year $3 mil rental?

and this is a follow up to my "get another #1 pick isiah" post.

A pick around #19 would be killer. I'd be very supportive of any move that gets us that.

That being said, Nazr would've been in a nice trade asset in trying to get a #19 pick.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Is it a definite possibility? Or just a possibility? Is it possibly definite? Definite? Or just definitely possible? Impossible is nothing. Definitely

Is pick #19 really *that* much better than pick #30 this year PLUS a pick around #25 next year? Considering how much random luck is involved in the draft no matter how much homework you do, it might bet better to have TWO shots at getting a Josh Howard type of player even if the picks are a little later. Like TMS said, you could also try to package the two picks is you're in love with Memphis's #19.

Last article I read in the Memphis newspaper the Commercial Appeal said Memphis was keeping the pick or would want to trade it only in a move up. So it's really a moot point regarding "could haves" and Nazr.

yes

warrick could be there at 19, no chance in hell he's there at 30
and it'll be closer to 29/30 next season.

there's a HUGE difference between 7 and 8
and there's still a difference between 19 and 30 - that's freakin' 11 picks and with the possible age limit, that "#25" next season could be a dud.

and it's not about moving up, it's about getting ANOTHER pick here.

The only reason that Nazr is more valuable then he was when Isiah traded him is becuase he traded to a team that is in the finals, if he stayed with the Knicks his value would have only gone down and Isiah would not have been able to get anything more then the 2 1st round picks that he did get for him. Nazr would NOT have brought the Knicks Memphis's #19 pick.

an expiring center averaging 11/7 for only $5.5 mil is a valuable asset. it boosts his value on the spurs BUT he's still an asset even if he stayed with us.

but like nyk said, if he stayed with us his value would've slowing decreased as it was doing. We got 2 1st round picks fir him..that was a miracle. With theway he was playing I would've been happ with 2 2nd rounders

still crying over spilt milk...
Nazr Mohammed was a good center but playing with Marbury and getting those easy baseline shots and putbacks made him seem better than he actually is. We got two first round picks and a great defensive player for him. Cant get much better than that
