The trade does make sense, though i'm not sure if Pheonix would trade their lottery pick. The good thing is they also own the 22nd pick in the draft so i would probably still do this trade if we could get that pick. It's a good proposal and it's something that could easily happen on draft day, but odds are it won't.

Like the trade, but did you take into account that you actually trade for the player they drafted instead of the pick? So that salary has to be involved in the balance of the trade as well.

Sounds too creative for Jimmy Dough and layden though, would be an awesome team for the future.

I wouldn't want Starbury as much as I hate to say it. He has proven he is a cancer, he should've stayed in Minnesota. Jerome James shouldn't start over Greg Ostertag, Ostertag is bigger and James hasn't really proven anything, he's shown flashes, but he should have to earn that. You cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, start a 19-year old high schooler who is being drafted not on basketball skills, but on athletic talent. I'd draft Wagner, then Woods, form a 2G/SF combo that would be awesome. Anyway, you can't put Amare in as a starter in his first year, the lineup would be this:
C-Ostertag
PF-Camby
SF-Anderson
SG-Houston
PG-Marbury

If Eisley is the Knicks future, then the Knicks are in a ton of trouble.

Look at our line-up:

C Jerome James (7'0)
PF Amare Stoudemire (6'10 and growing)
SF Qyntel Woods (6'9)
SG Allan Houston (6'6)
PG Penny Hardaway (6'7)

PF Marcus Camby (6'11)
PG Jiri Welsch (6'6)

That's a BIG line-up and we're playing in the (L)east so that would be a huge advantage over other teams that likes to play small ball in the East ..

Camby and Penny would be too much of a risk. Just having one is a risk. We could use the first pick on Dajuan Wagner instead of Qyntel, thinking down the road. Then, trade Othella Harrington and the Knicks first rounder in 2004 and 2nd rounder in 2003. Clips would get rid of a caner, Knicks would have a highly athletic, and a fun-to-watch team down the road, with the potential starters:
C-Jerome James
PF-Amare Stoudemire
SF-Lamar Odom
SG-Dajuan Wagner
PG-Starbury
Bench
Camby, Welsh, Anderson.

Knicks run an 8-man rotation and Jackson coaches. Camby can come in for PF or C, Anderson for 2 or 3, and Welsh for PG or 2. All versatile guys. Odom could handle the ball and bring it up court, then give it to Starbury. The Knicks would have the best scoring backcourt in the league with two guys who could score off the dribble. Camby and Stoudy play above the rim. What is there to know about this James guy?

its looks good but why would we start a high schooler over Marcus Camby or Weatherspoon. If we got Stoudmire he wouldnt play more than 15- 20 minutes a game.
