"Stephon [Marbury] is a scoring guard," Felton said after working out for Isiah Thomas and other Knick officials yesterday at the team practice facility. "They can put me at the '1', he can move to the '2.'

Felton began laughing when asked if he had informed Thomas and Marbury of his plans to revamp the Knicks, who hold the eighth pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Felton wasn't looking to step on any toes yesterday, but he sees the Knicks as an ideal place for a point guard, even if the Knicks appear to be set at that position

I wont lie... I love Felton's game and mentioned scenarios some time ago invovling drafting Felton. He's uber athletic. He's a TOUGH player. He's physical. He's a winner. He loves to defend.

Obviously we have a nasty size issue, but I still viewe this draft as taking the best player. I dont think it makes sense because there will be solid guard choices at 30 I think. It just makes more sense to go big first, guard 2nd.

If we could get the Cats #13 I would have no problem taking Felton because you could still have a shot at Bynam, Blatch or Splitter at 13.

Would #30, 2006 #1 and $2mm get us #13?

I'm thinking it was more of a workout for Monta Ellis to see how he stacked up vs Felton. He could possibly fall to 30.

That's a good point about Ellis. I don't think Felton is coming our way, nor, in the end, is Ellis. I think Ellis might still be there at 30, but he's a weaker, thinner, shorter version of Jamal Crawford, so why bother? As for Felton -- I don't think IT takes him over Webster.
