According to him the top unrestricted free agent PFs in order are

1) Donyell Marshall
2) Shareef Abdur-Rahim
3) Antoine Walker
4) Stromile Swift
5) Chris Anderson

He said Donyell is the most versatile of them all. I like Donyell, but this is a bit crazy. Walker is obviously the most versatile of those players as he can play five positions. I'd rather see the Knicks take any of those players listed 2 through 5 before they took Donyell.

Is the whole list available (the last thing I want is a PF).

I would cry if we signed Chris Andersen. Tears of joy. We could draft Mike Sweetney 2, but if we signed Chris Andersen, I'd still smile. That kid is exactly what we need. He's a center though, no PF.

He just gave the top 5. Each morning he's listing his top five at each position.

Yeah I'd say Cyber-tweezy (antoine Walker) is the most versatile, and then SAR and then Donyell, and I would also take all of those guys before Donyell.

From the EA sports NBA live video game when I was in college he had a commercial because they made his player on the game do that little twitch he does after he made a basket. On the commercial they called him Cyber-Toine. Which in my college clique developed into Cyber-Tweezy!

Steve Nash = Stevie McNash (doesnt that sound more appropriate for his dynamic game he needs a dynamic sounding name!)
Dirk Nowitski = Dirk Diggler
Tim Duncan = Timmy D
Pat Ewing = Big Pat
Allan Houston = What would Jesus Do? We'd say "and 'What would Jesus Do' splashes the 3 from downtown."

Charlie Ward = "The best quarter back in NY"

Is Andersen anything more than a punk that can dunk?

he's 1 of the best shotblockers in the game...but what do we need a shotblocker for when we have Sweetney & KT patrolling the lanes?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

he blocks 1.5 in 21 mpg. i doubt he can stay on the court much longer than that. i don't think he has much to offer except for extending our roster of very limited players.

He is a tough shot blocker.

There was a game where New Orleans was playing some time down the wire and he stop a possible winning shot at the rim but they got the rebound and a player grabbed Cris and the refs didn't call it.....thus a lay-up was scored. I think it was against the Nets.

look... he represents a need. He's not a guy that gets starters minutes or your looking to build around. For 18-20 minutes a game he gives you great energy and hustle off the bench. He can really run, crash the boards and is mega active on defense.

I agree. We could definitely use an athletic shotblocker if we miss out on Illgaukus, even if its only for 15-20mins a game. Hunter, Anderson, Gadzuric whatever! All you got to do is nail one of these undersized, overweight, overpaid, unathletic PF to the bench. A defensive presense inside would help us a lot more than Malik Rose will.

I'm not interested in overpaying Andersen or Hunter when more likely than not these are players you're going to want to replace even in the short term. I think we certainly could use a shotblocker, but at this point we need a lot more than just that. If we were nearer to contending, sure, but for now pass...
