Tim Thomas + # 8 for Paul Pierce + #18

then draft size at 18 - Petro, Splitter, Bynum, hell> even Taft or Villavueva (etc. whomever is there & IT likes the best)

JCraw, Marbs, Pierce.....that's 60 points of firepower.

I'd have a much easier time stomaching a flyer on a raw prospect on a big at 18 instead of 8.

Then you draft Daniel Ewing at 30.

PG: Marbs/Ewing/Jackson
SG: Craw/Houston (Ewing can play minutes here as well)
SF: Pierce/Ariza
PF: Sweets/Rose/JYD
C: Kurt Thomas/Petro (or Splitter....whomever lands to us at 18)

the MLE would be used to somehow grab more size (i.e. Hunter)

This allows a Kurt Thomas for another draft pick trade.

Boston would NOT do that trade. End of story.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think they would. I think they're done with Walker/Pierce. This allows an early out of that committed $$$ (to Pierce) & gets them back in the FA game.

they're not likely to make that trade even w/o that #18 pick.

Danny came out and publically endoresed Pierce- he is not going to be trading for some salary cap relief and draft pick.

Might they part with LaFrentz or someone else? Yes.

Publically endorsing someone is often a smoke screen. See Kwame Brown, who I think Washington will dump.

What...its any worse than any of our albatross contracts??? For example, if they took JYD/Mo Taylor for LaFrenz & Tony Allen.

Or LaFrenz & Pierce for Tim Thomas, Mo Taylor & Crawford.

I don't know the salaries off the top of my head, but those are deals that get Boston quickly out of bad contracts & the Knicks to get some production for the $$$ they spend.

I personally think Danny Ainge would be willing to do a salary dump like that especially if he can move up in the draft. He might feel he has good young guys like Al Jefferson, Tony Allen and Delonte West and would want to continue to add youth to them.

Still.......
Between Pierce and Walker I dunno who is worse. I used to love both players but after the stunts they pulled against Indiana I don't want either one of them. You would think after all Pierce and Walker been through they would be more smart about their business. They let the game get personal.

I would be highly upset if they were on the Knicks and that happened.......even though Pierce with Marbs and Craw looks good on paper

dude, LaFrenz is signed through 2009 at big bucks...no thanks...i don't care if they'd take back ALLAN HOUSTON'S contract for him.
