Trading down to about 13 with Charlotte to get either of 7'00 high school centers that aren't projected to go in the top ten. Charlotte would end up with two top ten picks and we would get the center peice we need at a cheaper price. Neither Bynum nor Blatche will be sitting there at 30 when we pick again.

Trading for what though? What will they give us to trade down? A second round pick? a future first or second rounder?

It would have to be a future first to make sense. You don't trade back from 8 to 13 for a second round bick.

In trading back a 5 spots you run the risk of losing out on the players you hope to be there, so no I would not make that trade.

I think the way it would have to work is a draft day trade. If we take Granger, as projected nbadraft.net, then at 13 Charolette takes the center we want then swap'em. The benefit for Charlotte is the get the highest rated SF and for us the needed big man. Of course there is a risk of simply not taking the player we really want not being there at 13. I think it would be a downer if the player we end up with is not shot blocking intimidating behemoth.
