Dan Dickau’s tightly knitted coils have become a trademark of the journeyman point guard who recently finished his best season in the NBA as the starting floor general for the New Orleans Hornets . However, new allegations threaten to spoil Mr. Dickau’s recent success as certain sources have leaked that the Adonis commonly compared to the fiction character Frodo Baggins from J.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” does indeed perm his hair.

The NBA has been cracking down on its players using hair product or altering there hair composition since the late 80’s. This is the same committee that shutdown Jerry-Curl sporting AC Green and forced former player and commentator Tom Tolbert to shave his head entirely if he wished to remain affiliated with the League.

With all the steroid allegations flying around in baseball, it is easy to forget about the whole hair-modification policy that the NBA refuses to back down from. In the mid-nineties former Laker AC Green, the owner of two NBA records, one for consecutive games played and the other which will remain unmentioned, wrote and published a book admitting that he did use “curl-enhancing” product and calling out other players around the league who did the same.

NBA commissioner David Stern is not backing down from this policy and when asked about what he would do if it was verified that Dan Dickau did indeed perm his hair he simply answered:

“I am going to leave my options open.”

Dickau’s main accuser, Sven Sampson, owner of the New Orleans salon “Sheik” made the following statement if front of an investigating congressional committee.

“Dickey (Dan Dickau) is one of our best customers however I can no longer keep this a secret; it is just tearing at the fabric of my fragile soul. His beautiful hair is the result of a mixture of perm products applied personally by me on a bi-monthly basis. While he does has a slight kink to his hair, we add the solution to give him his vibrant bouncy curl.”

Dan Dickau was not available for comment on these allegations and is said to be hiding out somewhere in Paraguay.
