Wally Szerbiak
Terrell Brandon

for

Latrell Sprewell
1.2 mil exception
future 1st rounder 2004

Minny would love to get rid of Wally who has been beefin with KG. KG wants him out too. Minny also lost their pick for 2004 due to the whole joe Smith thing. Ny desprately needs youth and Wally seems to fit the bill. TB had an injury this season but will return strong next year. I dont worry abouty the 2004 pick because we will be in the playoffs anyway (it will be a low pick). If we wanna 3 way it maybe we can get Van Exel for Brandon + 2nd rounder next year. Beacuse Brandon doesnt mind the bench. Dallas has too many stars.

Hmm, don't think Minny will go for that, besides, we can't use the 1.3 exception that way and we don't have a trade exception to be used in that way.

Still bring Wally world back to his home, I'm all for it. And if the pick is top 15 protected it's all good as well.

I wouldn't do this trade at all if it includes a #1 pick. The Knicks need a major rebuilding over a number of years. There is no quick fix, look at Chicago. Therefore, the Knicks under NO circumstances should trade ANY future #1 picks!

Hey if you protect if from a to z I could live with it. I'd rather not but Wally is a new yorker and an exciting player.

Wally in NY sounds good to me and KG certainly would rather have Spree on his team. I don't know about TB...he's great when he's healthy, but he hasn't been healthy too often recently. I certainly don't want to be giving up any future lotto picks as we are in rebuilding mode.
We suck.

TB has health issues every year. I don't think I would trade for him unless I could dump some serious salary.

Exactly. He hasn't played a full season since his sophomore year, when he was reserve for the Cavs. Over the past three seasons, he's missed 65 of a possible 246 games due to injury. He's no Marcus Camby, but he is a major question mark.
We suck.
