look at Dwayne Wade tonight against the best defenders in the nBA. you cannot stop a guard with superior nBA athletiscm and a shot who is also able to pass well. i dont care how good of a defedner you are, when there is court balance--i.e a post up game that you have to control, a guard, more than a SF can control the game at his will because he can get seperation and lanes to the basket any time he wants it. thats why you have to look at a talent like Louis very seriously, a guy who has been a little under the radar. a lot of people thought Ben Gordon wasnt going to be a good nBA player, but no one can guard him. the defense is at his mercy hoping he is not hitting--same thing with guys like arenas etc... when you have that extra jet, long arms and superior finishing ability, its a tremendous thing to have.
