Cause he's soft, doesn't grab rebounds, and too weak to play defense in the NBA?

people really need to start considering rudy fernandez if he happens to somehow slip to 30. He's going to be a great Manu Ginobili like player with more hops and athletism and better shooting.

Didn't Isiah visit Rudy's team in Spain? I'm sure he's on the radar.

Harrington can play the 4, small team but they'd be seriously athletic

That'd be my vote, I think frye fits in well as the active help defender for Kurt.

Welcome to the board.

Hello JohnWallace

Why do you see Milwaukee passing on Bogut? (Personally I don't see that happening).

that scouting report must've been written before the season when he was a projected top 5. Before he stunk it up his sophmore year. Isiah was disgusted with him. I trust his judgement. I want a sure fire star with our pick, not the potential bust of the draft. I'll gladly take him if he falls to 30 though

no way he falls to 30. that scouting report was written objectively, now everyone is afraid to touch Taft because he's a "cancer." Sounds like Amare or something. Every year, great players drop because of their attitudes. See Paul Pierce.

I'm not saying, Draft Taft, Draft Taft. But I am saying, get the kid in here for a private workout. Talk to him one on one. See what he's really like. Don't just follow the herd and proclaim Taft to be a bust before he plays a single game.

Bottom line: Taft has the tools and build most PFs in this draft would kill for. You HAVE to take a good long look at him. He can play center, he can block shots, he can rebound. Maybe he's never had a good trainer. Get him one. See what he can do. I'm against ruling out Taft without bringing him in for a private workout.

Yeah I agree, i haven't totally written taft off. Poor Workouts don't necassarily mean anything. He has the tools, if Zeke fels we have the staff to prepare him and he fits our team, I like that alot.

Absent negative comments about Taft's work ethic, is he or Frye the better talent/body for a big man

Well the measurements came out with Taft at 6'9 1/2" 261 and Frye at 6'10 1/2" 243. Taft seems to be a more compact strong explosive type while Frye seems longer, leaner and more fluid. I think they've both been lauded for their talent and physical attributes, Taft as more powerful, Frye as more mobile. I think toughness and work ethic will definitely come to bear when evaluating these 2.

Now it looks like the Lakers will take Bynum at 10, can we do anything about it? Taking Bynum at 8 just sounds crazy.

I think the question now is this, what if Vasquez or Granger slip to 8, do you still take Frye?

And isn't Joey Graham's defense and team play pretty much exactly what the Knicks need?

Tough tough call to pick, but supposedly Isaiah promised Frye.

Whatever with Bynum. Im getting tired of him already! If he goes to the Lakers at 10, fine with it. He was the one canceling our workout! If we can take him later with a mid first round pick (hopefully we move up that #30), its good. If he's gone, so be it. I think the best thing for us would be to move that second pick up, pick the best player avaliable, who will probably not be Frye, and then pick Petro with the second pick. I would be soo happy with that!

The hell with Bynum...What has he done to warrant all of the demands or publicity that he is getting????...If he is that good, trust me, the teams ahead of us will pick this kid...7'2"/280 will never be left on the board is this dude is as good as advertised.
