With his free agency looming and the fact that he has not been getting along to well in LA, right now might be the perfect time to make a serious run at getting him. Is there any possible way on earth that we could package Houston for him. Again I think it is Allan Houston that doesn't fit in our system. Furthermore a veteran SG may be just what the Clipps need to put them over the top. Of course our problems run deeper than that because we cannot return next year in the same position at point guard and expect success. We need an uptempo guy at the steering wheel. With Lamar at small forward we could take a look at Wilcox with our first rounder eventhough i would much rather Gooden but he isnt going to be there. Does anybody know the status of Steve Logan of Cincy? Will he be available to us in the second round?

I think the chances of Logan being available in the 2nd around where we draft are very good.

Our guards make 11-13 mil this year. Clipps dont wanna pay. We have nothing but our Draft Pick to offer. I would love the first overall pick and trading it to the Clipps...

1st overall pick + Kurt Thomas
for
Mike Olowokandi + Lamar Odom

whoa, now I know you are smoking something here. Kandi-man is probably the most coveted big man out there. No way LA trades him. and Lamar is worth much more than Thomas.

We'd get burned on that trade by getting just Odom (any more bong hits and he's out for the year) and Olowokandi, who is still a question mark.

Personally, I think the improvement in Olowokandi his play is directly related in the rleief Brand brings. If Olowokandi were to move elsewhere there is a probability his game will digress unless he's coupled again with a premier PF who's a force in the paint. Before Brand came he had to protect the paint and didn't do all that well.

Anyways, I think Olowokandi will stay in LA, he'll only move if Sterling remains mr.tightpocket.

I agree that now would be the right time to get Odom but Donald Sterling would never take on Houston's contract. I feel a bit sorry for him, the guy has to take care of Odom's contract, Olowokandi's, Magette's, Richardson's and Miles's. I think Odom could be had for pretty cheap but it'd have to a package that involves low-salaries or draft picks.

Olowakandi has nice physical skills. I dont think he a "basketball player" hes more of an athlete. But he and Odom can really vastly improve NY. The trade I posted is if NY by some trickery from the commishioner gets the #1 overall pick. Clippers would want Yao Ming.

Doubtful the Knicks get the #1 pick with only a 4.3% chance.
