...take a good long look at Milwaukee next season. They finished in the six spot that should have been ours. Now they have Bogut. How do those moral victories feel right now?

...and we get to chose between the next Chris Wilcox or the next Dale Davis.

Well said. Bogut should've been ours. Now we're, at best, getting Warrick or Taft.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

THE KNICKS COULD EASILY HAVE HAD MILWAUKEE'S SPOT IN THE LOTTERY HAD THEY NOT WON THOSE STUPID MEANINGLESS LAST FEW GAMES AT THE END OF LAST SEASON!!! TO ALL YOU "TANKING IS UNETHICAL" PEOPLE OUT THERE, THIS IS WHY TANKING IS A VIABLE OPTION SOMETIMES!

this is why i hate the draft lottery and think each of the 14 non-playoff teams should just have an equal chance (one ping pong ball) of winning. Any system that encourages and rewards tanking is flawed

who is to blame"???? how can you blame the fans??? Herb was the one coaching to win even when he knew that we didn't have a chance...Herb is to blame for sending Marburry to the operating room, for losing out on Boggut or others, for the misery that we may endure next season. Blame it all on Herb....the Brilliant Herb..

i never said the system wasn't flawed...i agree w/u on that...but when this is the system you're working in, you need to consider tanking as a viable option...2 years ago we could have had a shot at Lebron, Melo, Wade or Bosh, but of course we end up w/Mike Sweetney...yay.

honestly we were not as bad a team as Milwalkee! What pisses me off is that we played to win those meaningless games and let Toronto finish ahead of us in the lottery! We should've had the 7th pick! Now if Portland doesn't take Green then Toronto will at 7! or Portland takes Green and Toronto takes Bynum!!!!!!

if Green goes to Portland Toronto will likely take a PG either Paul or Felton. Watch Bynum go to Utah

Can yoall please stop with this freaking nightmare??? We are a poorly managed team...I don't know if I should blame Isiah or the headcoach....the headcoach was put in a really bad position...he was fighting for a job, so winning was the way to go for him. However, as an exKnicks, he should have been cautious to know that a higher pick in the lottery could have possibly resurect the power house that Knicks was.....Horrible

Bogut wasn't going to deliver us to the promised land anyway. Relax, its a deep draft and we still can get a really good player as long as the scouting is good, and we know our Gm is good at that. Every year when you look at the draft, weak players are taken in the draft, if we scout well, we will end up with a good player. I also think we have a good system here to train big's and we will be fine. Stop whining.

Andrew Bogut, Chris Taft, who cares? Does it matter? You know no rookie is going to play in Herb Williams rotation. You already just know Mike Sweetney is getting replaced in the starting lineup by Malik Rose and Trevor Ariza will get a lot of DNPCD's behind Penny Hardaway. I say Isiah Thomas trades the pick for Kenny Thomas or Erick Dampier or Brian Cardinal.

i'm sorry dido but this is just straight ignorant. a coach's job is to win. it's up to MANAGEMENT to tell the coach whether to play the young'n's or not. you make a lot of posts here but lambasting herb for not tanking makes me mad b/c he's NOT THE REASON.

Not me, I am glad they had no shot at Bogut. I'll take the athlethic big man who can only score in the paint, and will be having dunkfest ala Stoudamire. Any big with a serious vertical lift please apply.

Dudes! Look here, if Isiah brings back Herb, I will give him a fair chance until mid-season. However, if this team doesn't improve under him with a full training camp, I will be the first to call for Isiah's head. I am sick and tired of losing, and I am sick and tired of the patching job that is being done in N.Y. We need a young coach that is not affraid to jump on those young players face and will also give them a pad in the back when they do right. My choice as a freaking coach is Bill Laimbeer to tell you all the truth. As a coach you have to exhibit smarts, and Herb failed in that department. He played Marb 45 minutes when he knew that we were out of the playoffs....That to me is horrible
