I have an idea....

Knicks pick 8th and Draft Taft and then trade #8 pick along with Tim Thomas and Penny to Pistons for Ben Wallace. And no I have not been drinking the kool aid. I think Isiah would do this type of trade.

FIrst off, NO THANX! Second off, Ben Wallace makes about 6.5 and TT makes about 14 million. It doesn't work, but I wouldn't do it anyway, and neither would detroit. He's not gonna fix us. We need points in the paint and he aint gonna do that for us, although his defense would probably guarantee us an 7th or 8th seed. Nah, I'll pass.

Look at this from the Pistons' perspective? Would you trade a guy who was a huge component of your championship run last year and could be again this year just for a mid lottery pick? Many mid lottery picks turn out to be complete busts; others turn out to be good role players or good starters. A minority turn out to be stars in this league. They already have a collection of very good players who have helped them win the championship. If I ran the Pistons, the only starter I would even consider trading for a mid lottery pick is Rasheed Wallace because of his age and the fact that I'd still have McDyess and Ben Wallace.
