rumors are that MEM is desperately trying to unload Jason Williams & Bonzi Wells this offseason, & are willing to include their #19 pick to a team willing to take on their contracts.

would you guys be willing to pull off a Penny & #30 pick for Bonzi, White Chocolate & #19 pick trade? that would pretty much settle our backcourt issues right there, & we could focus on addressing the frontcourt positions w/the 1st rounders we have this year...i don't much care for J. Will's game myself & Bonzi has shown himself to be a selfish guy who needs to grow up a little, so it's not a clear cut decision for me...still, you can get a good player w/that #19 pick as opposed to the #30.

thoughts?

Memphis adds too much salary in Penny, whereas they could just let Jay Will and Bonzi walk.

I'd offer Memphis $3 million for their pick. Otherwise, I don't think we have the assets to trade with them.

they can't let J. Will walk...he's on their cap til 2008...Bonzi has the team option.

how about just KT & the #30 for J. Will & the #19 pick? both contracts expire the same time, but they get rid of the player they want to unload & get some veteran reinforcement for their frontcourt...remember, it's not the #19 pick they want to unload, it's J. Will...i don't think u can just buy if off them for cash that way.

w/the #19 pick u can end up w/either Warrick or Simien & address the need for athleticism in the frontcourt & then use the lottery pick for either Taft, Bynum or Greene depending on who's left.

Trading with Memphis is a good option because they need front court help.

I never thought of trading them Penny. I can't see them signing and trading Bonzi. They don't need to. They could let him walk.

Memphis really needs to get rid of all the swingmen they have. The presence of Dahntay Jones makes Posey expendable. Also Battier and Cardinal are both 3's....one has to go to the bench. They aren't going to sign Stromile. Memphis needs a big man that can rebound and protect Pau.

I think J-Will and Posey should be the target for the Knicks. The Knicks could use the energy and skills of J-Will to keep Marbs on his toes. J-Will could be like Arroyo is in Detroit, and allow Marbs to play off the ball sometimes. Posey even after having a injury filled season, could start on the Knicks.....To hell with Tim Thomas.

I'd do it, but I'd try to move J will for something, he is going to see very little minuttes here and there are teams that could use him, Denver is one.

dont you think they will just let Bonzi walk? W/ Miller and Battier they dont need him or his 8mm.

like i said, we could try to swap our later 1st round picks w/them & give them KT for J. Will, which helps us solve the glut at PF as well...i don't like J. Will's game, but at least he gets us a younger player that could function well in an uptempo style game...KT doesn't fit Isiah's vision...w/the #19 pick we take a Warrick who does fit that vision.

I'm down with that. I like the idea of having J-Will backign up Marbs. J-Will is pure energy. He's always hurt too but if he is a back-up he could remain healthier throughout the season. Still he would be flying up the court. It would be a good change of pace and would make the backcourt one of the best in the league.

We gotta get Posey too. I'm greedy. Posey and J-will for KT and JYD works under the CBA. Stick those draft picks in there and it's all good. The Knicks would still have Taylor, Rose and Sweetney plus whoever they draft.

Not bad at all.

Posey really is nothing special, but I wouldn't be mad at him. I'd rather bonzi, he;s a much more talented player at both ends of the court.

we don't need Posey...we have Ariza, who i feel will be a better player than Posey in a year's time...draft a guy like Warrick w/that #19 pick & maybe a Greene w/the #8 if you get lucky, keep JYD who also plays well in an uptempo style game, & you have some horses to run w/Marbury, Craw & J. Will on the fastbreak...that will equate to an exciting brand of basketball that will keep fans happy until they get that final missing piece of a dominant bigman that they need to get to that next level...watching KT try to run the break is like watching grass grow.

JYD is better suited for a faster pace.....but JYD and the rest of those guys are so interchangable. Instead of JYD you could stick Rose in the trade.

I feel Ariza will eventually surpass Posey too but Posey is still a good piece to have. I would rather see if we could get Posey and draft a big man. Posey would bring that experience to counter what Ariza would bring.

I really like the J-Will idea though. Start Marbs and Craw with J-Will and Houston or a draft pick off the bench. That is nice.
