just reported on ESPN radio...good news for Knicks fans...now we won't have to worry about Isiah hiring Maurice Cheeks.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Now we have to worry about a coach who knows nothing about winning, Herb. You guys are making a huge mistake after Phil and Brown, Cheeks was the best candidate out there.

this is crazy. they got $12 mil owed to o'brien. they always wanted cheeks and had to wait 3 years to get him and were willing to pay $12 mil to do it (not to mention what they have to pay cheeks). that's a team that could use some $$$'s relief.

tim + #8 for dalembert + mckie + 2006 #1.

now that o'brien is gone, they are going to keep dalembert. he is not going anywhere. it is shocking, however. i thought webber would leave before o'brien. apparently the players did not like him. even though i did not hear iverson complain about him. maybe iverson wanted to keep his mouth shut because of the blow up last year with ford and his reputation with larry brown. nevertheless iverson had his best year since 2000-2001 and o'brien propelled them to the playoffs. i like o'brien as a coach but we can not use him. his offense is a three point heavy offense. we do not have the gunners and personell he needs to be successful. but i have a feeling thomas will interview him anyhow.

I didn't want to start a seperate thread for this. Orlando just hired Brian Hill as their coach. The significance of this is that Hardaway's been rumored to want a buyout so he can finish his career there. Well Hardaway helped get rid of Hill when he played there and Hill was the head coach. Do you think Penny still wants to go back to Orlando?

"Hill's first stay in Orlando ended poorly. A locker room coup, orchestrated by disgruntled star Penny Hardaway, led to his dismissal late in February 1997."

I also thought about startign a thread about Brian Hill back in Orlando. Kind of a waste of space that you can't erase.

Right now I hope Penny never plays in a Knick uniform again as you can tell by my new signature. The Knicks can improve just as much if he is bought out. The Knicks have 5 solid power forwards and 3 draft picks to get replacements for Penny and Timmy as well.

Just watched the press conference on NBA TV, wow some surprising stuff came out about O'Brien, I heard some of the stuff about him from Walker 2 years ago. Much like PJ O'Brien do not understand the difference between college kids and professional men that are already establish. And when Iverson talked about him not keeping stuff in the locker room.
