i kep reading more and more about kyle, from draftcity, scout.com, hoopmaters, rivals and what this kid can physically do for his size--he is being compared as a MORE athletic version of Johnathon Bender, a guy who has tremendous ballhandling skill and superior type athletiscm at over 7 feet tall. The story goes, his family life was like amare stoudemire's but 5 times worse, whole family in jail the works which kept him from going to school at various times and then when he did, it wouldnt work out, i guess he only played 7-8 games in his junior year that is it. so he has played very little in terms of organized ball.

But, all of these publications --guys who have seen him play in person, think he has TOP 5 2006 potnetial

Now I cant comment on him, i havent seen anything but i do view pick 30 in many ways as a risk reward play. I mean a guy who has that type of athletic ability and skill sets and 19 being 7ft + isnt something you ignore

im sure isiah has heard of him becaus he comes from indiana, but i think it would be wise to put him through a very serious workout. How many chances to you get at a 7 footer with elite athletiscm and skills? like none!

here is some reading on him

Briggs .. maybe at #54... he hasn't played high school ball. That's pretty raw.

I think if you took him it would have to be with the 30th pick. This is just my opinion, but if he's there at the 54th pick he's probably not a great prospect. He has to get first round considerations in order for us to pick him in my opinion.

Negative, I would only pick this kid in the second round, because with the 30th pick, we would have had to pay him regular first round type of money...A kid like this young man should be paid no more than what we are currently paying JB....

I should say, we should give this kid a serious look. Im not saying that I think we should pick him 30, rather at 7-1 or so 235 with those type of raw skills--well for example mngeba from Dallas got 3 yr 4.5mm which is much more than pick 30 or a high 2 etc... and mgemba is probably just as raw without the same skills. Its the size and athletiscm with the fact that he has been scoring 20 points a game on the AAU circuit. I imagine he didnt eneter his name in the draft because he thought hed get lucky, something prompted it.

I said we need to think outside the box, we need to take calculated chances. If this kid worksout incredibly, well you cannot teach 7-1 and superior athletiscm.

we can always do something like move pick 30 back to the Lakers for example for picks 37+39 or move 53 up etc... Im sure there are varibale sin many cases, maneuverabilty depending on the circumstance.

I like to add ideas, I hope they leave no stone unturned

Exactly Briggs..This is the year to accumulate as many picks as possible, because with the wealth of big men that will be in this draft, it is imperative for any team with need for a big man to collect as many as possible. Next year may be different, especially with Stern proposing an age limit. Isiah needs to all that is possible to get some more draft picks. We are due for a pretty good draft, and Isiah is the man to make that happen. Hell for what it's worth, trade the first pick for a couple of first and second round picks....
