A couple months ago I would've said NO CHANCE but with Daniels minutes decreasing with Stackhouse's return I think Dallas might go for since they desperately need a guy like Kurt who will show up more than 20% of the time unlike Dampier.

Daniels is most likely better than the guy you'd get at #21 if you trade Kurt to Houston.

realistically i don't see Dallas trading their Center in Dampier for KT but if they can do a sign and trade for a guy like Jerome James or Steven Hunter they might. Even if they had one of those 2 instead of Damp they could still use Kurt

I trust Mark Aguirre's ability to work with any underperforming big man. However, I am not sure Damps has the work ethic to make it work, so I would rather go after someone else. My problem with Marqis Daniels for KT is that we would get that much smaller. Then who plays center? Sweetney?

Daniels has a lot of potential. I also want to get rid of KT... not that I don't like him or the numbers he puts up, but I don't like his game. 5 years of Damps is not worth one less year of TT. I don't like Daniels enough to get rid of the only size we have.

Kurt for Daniels, sure. But you sure as in hell better draft a big man who can play some defense right away. However, KT and TT for Dampier and Daniels is a big hell no. I want no part in that huge contract.

Can I add Marbury in there for Jason Terry and their number one too.

Man if we are a team that needs to rely on Kurt Thomas, its more of a reason to trade him. I think thats easily understandable.

this is typical knick bullsh t. we take a very simple and effective trade, kurt for daniels and then expand it to make it an AWFUL trade by including tim and taking back erick "i'm not only a client but the president of the 2005 NO THANKS CLUB" dampier.

we must stick to simple trades, 1 for 1, and stop with the big salary BS.

getting daniels will give us a 3 guard rotation, BUT i would rather have ANTONIO daniels instead. that has sign and trade written all over it for kurt.

guns, i'm not talking about you. i'm talking about the scenario you brought up as the typical way this team does business...and it shouldn't. you said it yourself, you could see this "scenario" and that's not a good thing but this management has us all expecting it...

lol yeah I hear you. I don't know, i was high on Dampier until this year. But as our best frontcourt player if we dont draft a guy like Taft Damps might flourish especially with Marbury penetrating and dishing. We've overpaid for far worst players before imo. At least he's a center and centers with skills are so hard to find.

It would suck to have to deal with his contract but if you don't get him who are you going to be left with at center Kurt or some bum like a luc longely/old Divac. is jerome james and hunter that much better?

Worst case scenario if we get Dampier and shows no improvement in his work ethic his contract should expire at the same time as Marburys i think. If we're going to hold onto marbury we have to build a good team around him. If we're going to go after Lebron we need to trade Marbury and start Crawford at PG NOW
