...for making it this far in the playoffs, but the offensive scemes on that team are horrible. There is no offense, its like the 2002 knicks, give the ball to someone and watch them do their thing all by themselves.

And Dirk is not a superstar! He isn't i don't think he was the elading scorer on his team in any of these playoff games! He didn' put the team on his back during offensive droughts, I am very dissapointed in his whole playoff showing. I would not want him on my team for what it would cost. He is a 7 foot version of Allan Houston whose shot isn't as strong. He has no post game, I am dissapointed.

Funny a few days ago Avery was mentioned here as a genious!

I would have thought Dell Harris would have kept the team together more.

That team really did not know what to do. Johnson showed a few times a lot of emotion, but he was not cool, and his team was not either.

Dirk is not a leader. Yelling is not leadership. Kinda feel that way about marbs also. You lead by example, by being cool, and working with what you got.

Second round 4-2 loss is nothing to be ashamed of, but Dallas is a contender and in my eyes did not get it done!

Yeah I actually said the defensive scheme was ingenious.

Marbs doesn't yell but he expresses dissapointment, the big diference being, Marbs actually plays big and carries the team for stretches. He leads by example with his play, but he doesn't encourage his teamates when they aren't playing well.

Dallas can hold their heads high but Dirk needs a reality check. If he stepped up and played how he should have, they would be playing a game 7 right now. He did not play well and that is the reason they lost. Jason Terry made a big mistake down the stretch, but were it not for his excellent play throughout, they would not have been in it. Dirk played like a good role player.

Dallas could have come out of the west. They should have beaten a phoenix team with no Joe Johnson.

suns main core of nash, amare, and matrix was no match for anything dallas had to offer. dirk may have been a little jugular lacking, but damps should've stepped-up for the needed help. finley was a disappointment. mavs expend all kinds of energy to lead at the half only to run out of juice at the end.

looks like nash got to make his point in dallas after all

Agree on all points - good comments here.

I really don't like this yelling business on the court from Dirk. Even when Damps deserved it, it should have been done off-court.

Dirk should have operated a lot more inside. His outside shot was not at all consistent.

Finley showed exactly why we shouldn't want any part of him - with his mileage and his injuries, he's a once-great player who only occassionaly has it anymore.

But how impressive is Josh Howard? Think about him when we're evaluating those 2 late 1st-rounders for Nazr.

Sometimes you might have to yell, but you don't do it by embarrassing your teammates. Just be assertive. Avery showed his rookiness by always losing his cool. He'll be a really good coach though. That's a promise. He has a good bball mind.

As for the Knicks, I think Marbury has showed some decent leadership at times, but I still truely believe (And I'm prepared to get killed by many) that Houston was the leader. You see him talking to guys on the team just as much as anyone and he's always been the leader by example. If he was healthy, he'd prolly continue to lead the team in scoring as well. In terms of leadership, Marbury really could have used Houston being healthy 100%, b/c I really think that would have helped his game and even mentality.

Marbury has changed his mindset completely around. He did a 180 from his days in New Jersey. Being traded and then seeing Kidd's success really humbled him. that is why more often then not he was looking to get his teammates involved and it worked great when we made the playoffs and were 16-13 this year but then all hell broke lose because TT is an extremely unreliable frontcourt player. Now find Marbury that player and he's gonna look like a genious! Ultimately it would be best to trade his ridiculous $22mil per year for multiple talents but it ain't happenin so lets just build the best team around him so that we can start winning before he's on the downside of his career.
